Description
Despite returning to the past and changing several key events, Takemichi Hanagaki looks at a news report in the present day and sees that his middle school sweetheart, Hinata Tachibana, has been murdered once again. The Tokyo Manji Gang, or Toman, which he had hoped to steer away from its criminal future, has instead become a sprawling, violent empire under the sinister influence of Tetta Kisaki. Even Manjiro Sano, the charismatic leader known as Mikey who once dreamed of a new era for delinquents, has vanished down a dark path.

Refusing to accept this future, Takemichi shakes hands with Hinata's brother, Naoto, and travels back in time ten years to his middle school days for a second time. His mission is clearer than ever: dismantle Kisaki's influence from within Toman and save both Hinata and his friends from a tragic fate. However, he quickly learns that the past has shifted in unexpected ways. His own actions have altered relationships, and a new, formidable threat has emerged in the form of the Black Dragon gang. This powerful and ruthless group, led by the tyrannical Taiju Shiba, has a direct connection to the coming tragedy.

The narrative thrust of this continuation, often referred to as the Christmas Showdown arc, centers on the conflict between Toman and Black Dragon. Takemichi learns that Hinata's death is linked to a violent clash on Christmas Eve. He meets Hakkai Shiba, a gentle but conflicted member of Toman's Second Division who is also Taiju's younger brother. Trapped under his brother's abusive rule, Hakkai is a key piece in Kisaki's hidden schemes. Alongside his loyal partner Chifuyu Matsuno, who learns the secret of Takemichi's time travel, Takemichi works to free Hakkai from his brother's grip and prevent the Christmas Eve battle from becoming a massacre. Their goal is to keep the conflict from escalating and to expose Kisaki's manipulations before they can take root. The stakes are brutally personal, as Takemichi finds himself directly in the path of Taiju's overwhelming violence, forcing him to endure a one-sided beatdown to protect his friends and buy them time.

This storyline brings several key figures into sharper focus. Mikey and his best friend, Draken, struggle to hold Toman together as internal dissent grows. The ever-loyal vice-captain Chifuyu becomes Takemichi's most trusted ally, providing both tactical support and unwavering belief. Meanwhile, the master manipulator Kisaki works from the shadows, his cold intelligence and ambition making him a far more dangerous enemy than any street fighter. By the end of this arc, the immediate crisis with Black Dragon is resolved, but the victory is bittersweet. While Hinata is saved for the moment, Takemichi realizes that the greatest threats are still ahead, setting the stage for a coming confrontation with the massive and brutal Tenjiku gang and pushing Mikey closer to the edge of darkness from which he may never return.
