Joe Zieja is an American voice actor, author, and former United States Air Force captain known for his work in anime dubs, video games, and animated series. Before pursuing a career in entertainment, Zieja served as an intelligence officer for over a decade, attaining the rank of captain after graduating from the United States Air Force Academy. He began taking on small voiceover projects in 2013 while still in government service, and by 2014, he transitioned to full-time voice acting, eventually relocating from Virginia to Los Angeles to seek more opportunities in animation and video games.

Zieja's career in English anime dubs includes a wide range of supporting and lead roles. He is known for voicing the hero Achilles in the series Fate/Apocrypha and its subsequent OVA, Fate/Grand Carnival, a role he has noted as being particularly special to him. He provided the voice of the mischievous older brother Kusuke Saiki in The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.: Reawakened and played the cunning student council president Ibara Obami in Kakegurui. His other anime credits include Oingo in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Bloster and Coburn in Hunter x Hunter, Liza Enza in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and Hizamaru in Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu.

Beyond traditional anime, Zieja has been a prominent voice in Western animation and Netflix series with anime-inspired aesthetics. He voiced the character Bumblebee across all three parts of the Netflix series Transformers: War for Cybertron Trilogy—Siege, Earthrise, and Kingdom—portraying the character with a grittier demeanor than traditional interpretations. His filmography also includes roles in Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 and Cells at Work!.

In addition to his anime work, Zieja is widely recognized for his performances in video games, most notably as Claude von Riegan in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and its sequel Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, as well as Wriothesley in Genshin Impact. He also voiced Fox McCloud in the animated short Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins.

Outside of performing, Zieja is the author of the Epic Failure Trilogy, a comedic military science fiction series published by Simon & Schuster. He is also a musician and educator, having founded LearnVoiceActing.com to teach aspiring voice actors and sharing insights into the industry on his social media platforms.
