Stefano Pozzi
Description
Stefano Pozzi is an Italian voice actor born in Bologna on July 27, 1983. After earning a language diploma in 2002, he studied at the Accademia '96 theater school in Bologna and later graduated in communication sciences from the University of Bologna. He began his career collaborating with local recording studios on video games and radio commercials before moving to Milan in 2007 to work with major dubbing studios.
Pozzi has built an extensive career providing the Italian voices for numerous characters in popular anime series. He voices the twin brothers Kazuo and Masao Tachibana in the 2018 adaptation of Captain Tsubasa. He is the Italian voice of Chocolove McDonell in the 2021 Shaman King series, Panda in Fire Force, and Toge Inumaki in both the Jujutsu Kaisen television series and the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0. In the sports anime Haikyu!!, he voices the energetic libero Yu Nishinoya. For the long-running My Hero Academia franchise, he provides the voice of Hanta Sero, also known as the hero Cellophane, appearing in the television series and the films My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising and My Hero Academia: You're Next. He also voices the god Miach in the series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?.
His voice work extends to a wide range of other anime. He plays a Red Blood Cell in Cells at Work! Code Black, Genki Gondawara in Hakushon Daimaō 2020, Naji in Cagaster of an Insect Cage, Doropo in The Wonderland, Edmond Chandler in Hero Mask, and Koichi Uehara in Summer Days with Coo. In the Pokémon franchise, he has voiced numerous characters including Torterra's trainer in The Rise of Darkrai, Keldeo in Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice, Sami in I Choose You!, and Joshua in Path to the Peak. He is also the Italian voice of Koki Mimura in the Assassination Classroom franchise, Pierre Jeunet in the Sugar Bunnies series, Akira Nanase in Jewelpet, and Ace Grit in Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia. His other notable roles include Randolph in Before Green Gables, Pat in Web Ghost PiPoPa, Renton in the Eureka Seven film, and Akira Yanagizawa in Japan, Our Homeland.
Beyond anime, Pozzi is also active in dubbing for live-action productions and video games. His video game credits include the Italian voice of a young Nathan Drake in Uncharted 3 and Uncharted 4, Sam in The Last of Us, and characters in major titles such as Detroit: Become Human, Cyberpunk 2077 and its Phantom Liberty expansion, and Rayman in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.
