Hiro Shimono is a Japanese voice actor and singer born on April 21, 1980, in Tokyo, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency I'm Enterprise. Shimono developed an interest in voice acting during his中学 years after watching the anime The Irresponsible Captain Tylor and listening to voice actor radio programs, which inspired him to pursue a career in the industry. He graduated from the Japan Narration Acting Institute and made his professional debut in 2001, with his first major anime role as Ayato Kamina in RahXephon in 2002.

Shimono has built an extensive career, lending his voice to a wide array of characters across numerous popular anime series. He is particularly well-regarded for his ability to portray both comedic and emotional roles with high energy and distinct vocal qualities.
