Chibi Rodan is a juvenile pterosaur kaiju first appearing in the 2018 children's book *Do Your Best, Chibi Godzilla*. He returns in the sequels *Close Friends, Chibi Godzilla* and *Sticker Picture Book: Chibi Godzilla and Friends*, the web series *I'm Home! Chibi Godzilla*, and the television series *Chibi Godzilla Raids Again*. He possesses orange skin, a yellow beak and claws, a white underbelly, two head spikes, and large eyes with black pupils, simplifying traditional Rodan elements for a child-friendly look. Chibi Rodan exhibits extreme narcissism, particularly about his flight and wings, often belittling flightless monsters as "pigs." His ego is fragile; any perceived insult or rejection causes him to plummet headfirst to the ground, often knocking himself unconscious. He revives only after receiving compliments, especially from female characters like Chibi Mothra, driven by underlying insecurity. In *Do Your Best, Chibi Godzilla*, he races against Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Ghidorah, delighting when the defeated Chibi Godzilla cries fire. *Close Friends, Chibi Godzilla* shows him fleeing Chibi Godzilla's uncontrolled fire breath before reconciling over shared fruit. The web series *I'm Home! Chibi Godzilla* depicts him visiting Chibi Godzilla's apartment and inadvertently inspiring flight attempts. His most detailed development occurs in *Chibi Godzilla Raids Again*: - During a mountain hike, he brags about flying superiority until Chibi Mechagodzilla praises Chibi Mothra's wings, shattering his ego and causing a crash. Revived by Chibi Mothra's compliments, he later refuses to carry flightless monsters, deeming them inferior. He collapses again after worrying he is a bother. - At a study session, he incorrectly claims destroying "common sense" enables free thought. - Chibi Hedorah repeatedly fails to recognize him across episodes, triggering collapses. During beach cleanup, Hedorah insults him as "full of garbage," worsening his distress. - He witnesses Chibi Godzilla’s atomic sneezes and destructive urges, initially misinterpreting them as puberty. He later panics reading Chibi Godzilla’s farewell letter, relieved to learn it was just a cold. His sole ability is flight, occasionally generating wind by clapping wings. His emotional fragility remains a consistent weakness across all appearances, with no significant evolution beyond recurring comedic setbacks.
