Description
Momoo Inugami is a dog god, an inugami from the spirit world, who is summoned by Momiji Binboda to assist in her mission to drain the excess luck from Ichiko Sakura. He has the ability to take on a human form, which he maintains when not transforming into a small chihuahua. However, if he experiences too much pleasure, particularly masochistic pleasure, he is forcibly reverted to his human shape. His senses of smell and hearing are exceptionally sharp, making him useful for gathering intelligence during battles.
Personality-wise, Momoo is defined by his extreme masochism. He derives intense gratification from physical punishment and verbal abuse, especially when it comes from Ichiko. This trait drives much of his behavior: he seeks out opportunities to be punished and is willing to endure pain as a source of enjoyment. Despite this, he is loyal to Momiji and follows her orders faithfully, though his own desires often complicate his effectiveness in combat.
Initially, Momoo serves as a direct antagonist, summoned to help drain Ichiko’s fortune energy. However, after Ichiko inadvertently punishes him in a way that gives him great pleasure, he becomes infatuated with her and begins to visit her regularly in hopes of receiving further punishment. Over time, he shifts from being a foe to a recurring comic-relief ally, often appearing alongside Momiji and the main cast. His masochism also allows him to act as a bizarre form of tank during supernatural confrontations, absorbing attacks that would normally incapacitate others.
