Description
Shū Iura, alternatively spelled Syu Iura, attends Katagiri Senior High School in Class 3-2. He is the older brother of Motoko Iura, and the siblings live independently without their parents. Born on February 7, making him an Aquarius, he stands 172 cm tall. His distinctive green hair earns him the nickname "Green" and inspires his self-proclaimed title "Katagiri Green" within the friend group he established, "Katagiri 6." He typically wears a sweatshirt and purple headphones.

At school, Shū displays an energetic, outgoing, and loud personality, often spearheading group activities or pranks. Though widely viewed as annoying by classmates due to his exuberance, he acts as a social catalyst who boosts group morale. He openly bemoans his lack of a girlfriend, conceding his loudness might be off-putting, yet defiantly questions, "If you take away my energeticness, what would be left?" A past relationship with a similarly spirited girl ended poorly, heightening his sensitivity in romantic discussions. He shares a particularly close bond with Tooru Ishikawa, stemming from their time together in elementary and middle school; they frequently exchange music. Izumi Miyamura also borrows music from Shū, indicating a friendship predating Miyamura's physical change. Honoka Sawada finds Shū excessively loud and keeps her distance, while Aoi Kitahara harbors unreciprocated feelings for him.

Contrasting sharply with his school persona, Shū adopts a subdued, serious, and quiet demeanor at home. His interactions with Motoko appear reserved, yet he demonstrates deep care by supporting her academically and emotionally. He becomes fiercely protective when she faces mockery, such as threatening a teacher who ridiculed her efforts. This duality highlights his prioritization of familial responsibility over his social identity. He also hosts a segment called "Let’s try asking Iura-kun!" and achieves high rankings in character popularity contests.

Shū navigates his role as Motoko's primary guardian while reconciling his social exuberance with private insecurities. His protective instincts and dedication to family remain constant, though romantic frustrations and social interactions underscore his ongoing struggle for self-acceptance.
