Alan is the captain of the First Knight Squad in the Freesia Kingdom. He comes from a rural mountain village and is the eldest of nine siblings. At fourteen, he defeated his father in a fight and left for the royal capital to pursue his dream of becoming a knight. He has short, brownish-golden hair and yellow eyes. Alan is cheerful, enthusiastic, and sociable, with a passion for training that leads his close friend Kalam to call him a training junkie. He is well-liked and admired by many fellow knights. While he shows little romantic interest in others, he develops a deep devotion to Princess Pride after witnessing her bravery and skill. His loyalty drives him to protect her and serve the kingdom. Alan does not possess any special powers; instead, his martial prowess ranks him among the top five strongest combatants in the kingdom, particularly skilled in hand-to-hand combat. He shares a strong bond with Kalam, forged during their knighthood promotion test when Alan withdrew from a match against an injured Kalam, allowing Kalam to pass as top candidate. Together with another knight named Eric, they form a close trio. In an alternate timeline, Alan and Kalam were executed after attempting a revolution against a tyrannical version of Pride, a fate that reinforces his appreciation for the benevolent princess he serves.
