Description
Jeno, also known as the Yellow Dragon, is the fourth and final dragon warrior to join Yona's party in her journey. He is a young man who appears to be around seventeen years old, with a short, slim build and blond hair.

His background is the most extraordinary and ancient of all the dragon warriors. Unlike Kija, Jaeha, and Shin-ah, who are descendants of the original dragon warriors, Jeno is revealed to be the original Yellow Dragon himself. He is the very first warrior who was granted the power of the dragon by the Dragon Gods thousands of years ago to serve the Red Dragon King, Hiryuu. As a result, he has lived for countless centuries, far surpassing any normal human lifespan. This immense age is completely hidden by his youthful appearance and cheerful demeanor.

Jeno’s personality is marked by a sharp contrast. On the surface, he is carefree, lighthearted, and seemingly simple-minded, with an endless appetite. He often speaks of himself in the third person and has a habit of adding a playful "because" to the end of his sentences. He can appear easily distracted and is not above drooling over a cooking meal, which leads his companions to initially underestimate him, with one of them even thinking of him as a cheerful kid with a flower garden in his head. However, this childish exterior masks a deeply perceptive, wise, and occasionally somber individual. In serious moments, Jeno drops his playful tone and speaks with a blunt, penetrating clarity that reveals his true, ancient nature. He is not afraid to ask difficult or pointed questions that others might avoid, particularly to Yona, such as confronting her about her ultimate goals after gathering the four dragons.

Jeno's primary motivation stems from his tragic past. Having lived for millennia and outlived everyone he has ever loved, including the Dragon King and the other original dragon warriors, he has suffered immense loneliness and heartbreak. He once married a girl named Kaya who saved him, but she died of an illness despite his desperate pleas to the dragon gods. Because of this endless cycle of loss, he likely joins Yona’s group to find a new sense of purpose and belonging, hoping to break free from his eternal solitude by serving the new incarnation of the king he once swore an oath to.

In the story, Jeno serves multiple crucial roles. Initially, he is the last objective of the group’s search, joining them with almost comical ease after wandering into their camp, attracted by the smell of food. Once part of the team, he often acts as an advisor or conscience, using his millennia of experience to provide perspective and ask the questions the group needs to hear. He also becomes a key source of emotional support and strategic insight, even if his powers are not what they initially seem.

Jeno's relationships with the other characters are unique. He forms a strong bond with Yona, acting as a loyal guardian and a truthful advisor who can speak harshly to her without hesitation. Despite his cheerful front, he often appears more like a wise mentor than a peer. With Hak, the group's fighter, and Yun, their strategist, Jeno forges a friendly bond, although his true age creates an invisible distance. His relationship with the other three dragons, Kija, Jaeha, and Shin-ah, is filled with unspoken sadness, as he watches over them, knowing that they are descendants of his original comrades and that he will likely outlive them as well.

Jeno’s character development is largely about the revelation of his hidden side. He begins as a mysterious comic relief character, seemingly weak and useless in a fight. His development occurs when his true power and tragic backstory are unveiled, shifting his role from a simple tag-along to the most tragic and experienced member of the group. He must confront his past sorrows and decide whether to continue living or find new meaning in protecting Yona.

His notable abilities are unique and devastating. The power of the Yellow Dragon is not to strengthen his body, but to have an absolute, unyielding body. Jeno possesses the ability of immortality and regeneration. He does not age, and any wound he suffers, no matter how severe, will instantly heal. He can lose limbs or even his head, only to reattach them or control the severed parts independently. Furthermore, the more he is wounded and regenerates, the tougher his skin becomes, taking on steel-like, dragon-scale properties. This ability makes him functionally invincible, but it is a power born from a curse of eternal life, forcing him to endure endless pain and watch everyone around him die.
