Description
Taketo Aida, a 16-year-old high school student, reluctantly steps into managing his grandmother Tsubaki’s candy shop after her injury, eventually mentoring Ilulu, a dragon girl masquerading as a human. Initially wary of her eccentricities, he grows to admire her earnest customer service and warmth toward children, forging a cooperative bond.

With unkempt brown hair, dark eyes, and a standard school uniform, his demeanor blends blunt honesty with bashful reserve. Ilulu’s habit of teasing him by flaunting social norms—undressing or playfully leveraging her looks—routinely leaves him flustered, yet he remains steadfastly loyal, supporting her adjustment to human life while navigating his own discomfort.

Their dynamic shifts from cautious distrust to tentative affection. Ilulu dubs him “her hobby,” provoking him into nosebleeds with bold antics but later hesitating to undress in his presence, hinting at unspoken fondness. Taketo privately acknowledges her virtues to others, subtly reciprocating her feelings. Milestones like shared walks and a surprise naked hug-tackle underscore their ambiguous, growing closeness.

Beyond Ilulu, he befriends Shouta Magatsuchi, bonding over bafflement at dragon antics, and earns admiration from neighborhood children for his reliability. Unaware of the dragons’ true identities, he dismisses their strangeness as cultural quirks, leading to mishaps like mislabeling Lucoa as a “devilish woman” during a festival.

When dragon adversary Loki takes him hostage, Ilulu’s feral retaliation reveals his irreplaceable status in her life, second only to Kobayashi. His grounded perspective anchors the story’s supernatural chaos, contrasting mundane routines with fantastical disruptions.

Spin-off appearances, such as aiding shop events in *Lucoa is my XX*, further depict his bemused coexistence with dragon-driven chaos. His journey mirrors Ilulu’s: gradual acceptance of her quirks meets her deepening attachment, their relationship lingering in playful, unresolved romance.
