Description
Retsu Akagi leads the vigilante group KiraDeco 5, tasked with recovering Mirror Ball fragments to save Earth from Eternal Darkness. Hailing from Gunma Prefecture, his younger brother Midori serves alongside him on the team. Retsu embodies a hot-blooded, ultra-optimistic spirit, relentlessly training and championing justice with unwavering courage and confidence. He frequently declares his dedication to righteousness, believing himself its personification, which blinds him to personal fault. This obliviousness prevents him from seeing Midori's resentment or that his teammate Blue Knight dismisses their perceived rivalry.
A defining childhood incident on Mount Akagi, where Retsu inadvertently caused Midori to become lost, shaped their relationship. Retsu's refusal to accept responsibility for this event fostered lasting resentment in Midori. This unresolved conflict was later exploited by the antagonist Kaiser, who preyed on Retsu's buried guilt and inability to admit fault, psychologically corrupting him. Only with help from his Jewelpet partner, Angela, did Retsu break free, finally acknowledging his mistake and apologizing to Midori.
