Luci Christian is an American voice actress and ADR script writer known for her extensive work in English-language dubs of Japanese anime series and films. Born Louisa Michelle Christian on March 18, 1973, in Texas, she developed an early interest in performance, participating in theater programs during high school. She initially pursued journalism in college but changed her focus to theatre after receiving a scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Angelo State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from Louisiana State University.

Christian's career in anime began in the late 1990s at ADV Films in Houston, where her first roles included bit parts in Those Who Hunt Elves. Her first starring role came shortly after when she was cast as Kaname Chidori in Full Metal Panic!, a part that would become one of her signature performances. In the early 2000s, she took on a variety of leading roles, including the title character in Super Gals, Himeno Awayuki in Prétear, and teacher Yukari Tanizaki in the comedy Azumanga Daioh.

As her career progressed, Christian became a regular voice actor for Funimation in Dallas, taking on supporting and lead roles in major productions. She voiced the characters Wrath and Psiren in Fullmetal Alchemist, Rico in Gunslinger Girl, and Asuna Kagurazaka in Negima. She also landed the lead role of Tenma Tsukamoto in the comedy School Rumble, voiced Hitomi Kashiwa in Welcome to the NHK, and portrayed the youthful Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka in Ouran High School Host Club. When Funimation acquired the dubbing rights for the long-running One Piece series, Christian was selected to voice the lead female navigator, Nami, a role she has continued for many years.

In 2007, Christian received two nominations at the American Anime Awards: Best Actress for her work as the lead character Ahiru in Princess Tutu, and Best Actress in a Comedy for her performances in Desert Punk, Negima, and Nerima Daikon Brothers. Throughout the late 2000s and 2010s, she continued to accumulate prominent credits, including Kirino Chiba in Bamboo Blade, Lenalee Lee in D.Gray-man, Nagisa Furukawa in the Clannad series, the title character in Birdy the Mighty Decode, Medusa in Soul Eater, and Elsie in The World God Only Knows. She also voiced main characters such as Marika Kato in Bodacious Space Pirates and Himeko Inaba in Kokoro Connect.

Starting in 2016, Christian began voicing Ochaco Uraraka in the massively popular series My Hero Academia, bringing her to an even wider audience. The same year, she voiced Chihaya Ayase in the English dub of Chihayafuru for Sentai Filmworks. In 2017, she took on starring heroine roles as the goddess Hestia in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? and as Touko Nanami in Bloom Into You. Her filmography also includes roles in feature films, such as Carmen Ibanez in Starship Troopers: Invasion and its sequel, Traitor of Mars, and Deunan Knute in the Appleseed series of films.

Christian has been a consistent presence in the anime dubbing industry, frequently collaborating with other voice actors such as Monica Rial and Chris Patton across numerous projects. Her work spans a wide range of genres, from action and fantasy to comedy and drama, demonstrating her versatility as a performer. In addition to voice acting, she has also worked as an ADR script writer.
