Description
Itsuki Habaragi is a prominent character in the Dragonaut - The Resonance anime, recognized as the leader of the Vritra Unit. This unit is a specialized team of Dragonauts, individuals bonded with dragons to serve the International Solarsystem Development Agency. Her personal dragon partner is named Otohime, and within the same unit, she has a younger brother named Yuuya. She is also established to be acquainted with another Dragonaut, Raina.

In her capacity as a leader, Itsuki is a composed and responsible figure who carries out the objectives of the ISDA. Her primary role involves piloting her dragon, Otohime, in various military operations. A significant part of her function is tied to the ISDAs overarching plan to deal with the asteroid Thanatos, which threatens Earth and is the origin of the dragons. The Vritra Unit is specifically tasked with carrying out a missile launch against Thanatos from a space station.

Itsukis journey is marked by a major turning point when a fourth, immensely powerful dragon arrives from Thanatos. During this event, the Vritra Unit is nearly annihilated, with only Itsuki and Otohime surviving the encounter. This experience places her in a precarious situation, and she is eventually captured by an antagonist named Laura, who serves the ISDA. Later in the narrative, she and Otohime are freed by the main group of protagonists. By the final stages of the story, Itsuki commits herself to the climactic battle. She is present fighting alongside the main characters, helping to confront the final threats and providing support in moments of crisis. During these final events, she reflects on profound subjects, contemplating the nature of feelings and identity, specifically whether a persons cherished emotions and bonds are authentic or artificially created, and concluding that the belief in their truth is what truly matters.

Regarding notable abilities, Itsukis primary strength is her role as a Dragonaut, which grants her the ability to enter a state of resonance with her dragon, Otohime. This partnership allows them to fight together effectively, enabling flight and combat against other dragons. Her competence as a pilot is demonstrated by her being the sole survivor of the Vritra Unit along with her dragon, showcasing her resilience and skill in the face of overwhelming opposition.
