Description
Reg is a robotic entity resembling a young boy, discovered unconscious in the Abyss’s first layer by Riko, who named him after her deceased pet. His origins remain shrouded in mystery, though Lyza’s sketches of a similar figure suggest a potential link to the seventh layer. Plagued by amnesia, he recalls nothing before meeting Riko, though fragmented memories of encounters with Lyza and Faputa—princess of the Hollows from the sixth layer—emerge during his journey.

His appearance blends human and mechanical traits: light brown skin, dark hair, and feline yellow eyes with vertical pupils contrast with a metal helmet featuring asymmetrical horns and a lens tracking charges for his Incinerator. Red rectangular markings adorn his cheeks and ribs. Though equipped with extendable limbs reaching 40 meters, human-like details such as nipples, a navel, and genitals coexist with his synthetic framework. His rubber-textured skin belies biological functions like eating and sleeping, while mechanical endurance allows survival in the Abyss.

Reg’s signature weapon, the Incinerator, emits destructive beams from his limbs, but each use drains energy, forcing him into a two-hour, ten-minute coma. Immunity to the Abyss’s curse earns him the title “Treasure of the Deep,” yet a thinner abdominal area near his navel presents a vulnerability. Enhanced senses grant acute sight and smell, aiding navigation through perilous environments.

Timid and naive, Reg blushes or cries under pressure but fiercely protects Riko, adopting a fiery temper in combat. His speech echoes Lyza’s mannerisms, including the frequent use of “irredeemable.” Compassion surfaces in bonds with Faputa and the robot Gaburoon—shielding the latter from a Turbinid-Dragon and gifting the former his goggles as a friendship token.

Notable events include losing his forearm during Bondrewd’s experiments at Ido Front, replaced by the artifact Gentle Knock, and facing Ozen the Immovable Lord, who tested his combat prowess. Reuniting with Faputa reignites memories of their shared past, while fleeting recollections of Lyza, such as sharing stew, hint at deeper ties. Though growing resilient and tactically adept, he still defers to Riko’s judgment outside battle.

Connections to the Ganja Corps’ Abyss explorations emerge through Gaburoon’s theory of shared creators with Interference Units. His designation as an Aubade and potential role in gathering layer-specific data remain unclear. The lens tracking his Incinerator’s charges fuels speculation that depletion could trigger permanent shutdown or memory loss, leaving his ultimate fate entwined with the Abyss’s enigmas.
