Description
Miu Ashihara shares classes with Natsuo Fujii and Rui Tachibana at Akamori High School, distinguished by her dark-green bobcut framing olive-green eyes and a face partially concealed by heavy bangs. Her slender frame and self-consciousness about her petite figure amplify a naturally reserved presence. She oversees her younger siblings, Haruma and Miya, in their book-filled apartment, their shared literary enthusiasm shaping their bond.

As the Literature Club’s founding member and eventual president, she recruits Natsuo through advisor Reiji Kiriya’s persuasion. Secretly harboring feelings for Kiriya, her timid nature stifles any confession, culminating in a school festival mishap where flustered panic over discussions about him leads her to accidentally shove Natsuo down a stairwell.

Painfully shy and socially tentative, especially regarding romance, she enforces library discipline with quiet authority while enduring Momo Kashiwabara’s teasing. Though initially aspiring to novel-writing, her post-graduation path pivots to editing after university studies and bookstore employment align her professionally with Kiriya through collaborative projects.

Sibling interactions expose familial curiosity when Haruma and Miya mistakenly assume Natsuo’s romantic link to her. Overcoming insecurities, she channels literary passion into nurturing others’ creativity, transitioning from a hesitant student to an editor committed to elevating voices beyond her own.
