Description
The character known as Code:001, often referred to as the Klaxosaur Princess or the Princess of the Klaxosaurs, is introduced as the final surviving member of the Klaxosaur race, also known as the Klaxo-sapiens. She is an ancient being who has existed for over sixty million years, having lived alone since the time of her civilization's war with the alien race VIRM. Her physical appearance is distinct and inhuman, characterized by long white hair, blue eyes, blue-tinged skin, and two prominent blue horns on her head. The most notable features on her back are eight spider-like appendages, or tentacles, which she can freely control and use for combat. Dr. FranXX, the creator of the FranXX units, regarded her as a beautiful and complete existence.
The personality of 001 is initially defined by a cold and fiercely protective nature. She holds a deep-seated hatred for humanity, whom she blames for attacking and exploiting her brethren to harvest magma energy, the lifeblood of the Klaxosaurs. She refers to the human leadership, the Seven Sages or APE, as "pseudo-humans" or "damned human wannabes," demonstrating her awareness of their true, alien nature. 001 is resolute and does not hesitate to use lethal violence when she feels threatened or to achieve her goals, as seen when she easily kills two of the Seven Sages who came to negotiate with her. She is the original source from which Zero Two was cloned, as Dr. FranXX used her hair to create the hybrid being. In her first encounter with the doctor, she bit off his left arm as punishment for harming her kind, demonstrating her intolerance for those who exploit her people. When she forcibly ejects Zero Two from the FranXX Strelizia to pilot it with Hiro, she enters the Star Entity, a massive weapon.
