Andromeda Shaun is the Bronze Knight of the Andromeda constellation in the Netflix animated series Knights of the Zodiac: Saint Seiya. Abandoned by her parents at a young age, her only known relative is her older brother, Phoenix Nero, who first taught her how to fight before she was sent to train on Andromeda Island to become a Knight. This version of the character is a reimagining of the original Saint Seiya protagonist Andromeda Shun, now depicted as a young woman.

Shaun is defined by a deep-seated dedication to peace, justice, and the preservation of life. She is a pacifist at heart who does not care for needless fighting or violence, a trait reflected in the nature of her signature weapon, the Nebula Chain. Unlike a traditional sword or spear, her chains are primarily used to hold, bind, and subdue enemies, often delivering an electric shock rather than a killing blow, and serve as a formidable shield. Despite her gentle disposition, Shaun is a secure and confident warrior, fully aware that she ranks among the most powerful Bronze Knights. When forced into battle to protect herself or others, she becomes a collected, ruthless, and outright dangerous opponent, holding nothing back in the defense of life. Outside of combat, she reveals a playful side, often teasing her friends and rivals, such as pointing out Unicorn Jab's clumsy attempts to flirt.

Shaun’s primary motivation throughout the Galaxian Wars tournament is to reunite with her estranged older brother, Nero. She holds a deep, unwavering hope that she can reach him and bring him back from the dark path he has walked. This personal quest intertwines with her larger role as a Knight of Athena, where she stands alongside fellow Bronze Knights Pegasus Seiya, Dragon Long, and Cygnus Magnus to protect the goddess Sienna Kido from various threats. Her key relationships are central to her identity. The bond with her brother, Phoenix Nero, is the most significant and fraught, as his hatred and abandonment are a source of great pain she seeks to heal. With her fellow Knights, she develops a strong camaraderie built on mutual respect, friendship, and playful banter.

In terms of abilities, Shaun is a master of the Andromeda Cloth and its Nebula Chains. She possesses superhuman strength, speed, agility, and durability, all channeled through her Cosmo, the inner energy all Knights manipulate. Her combat style relies on her chains for both defense and offense. She can use the Rolling Defense to create an impenetrable barrier and the Thunder Wave to deliver electrified strikes. For capture and restraint, she employs the Great Capture technique. Her ultimate attacks, the Nebula Stream and Nebula Storm, represent her most powerful offensive capabilities, unleashing torrents of her Cosmo to paralyze or completely obliterate her opponent when her patience and pacifism are finally exhausted. Her chains are legendary for their durability and length, capable of extending vast distances, even light years, and can give off warning signs when a threat is near. Through her training, she has also become a skilled tactician, able to analyze an enemy's weakness and formulate a strategy to defeat them even while at a disadvantage.
