Her career in performance began in childhood with theater and musical groups, leading to work as a television host for channels like the German Disney Channel and RTL II. She also appeared as an actress in series such as Disneys Kurze Pause and Marienhof. Kalbhenn has been active in voice acting since 2006 and has lent her voice to nearly 400 productions. Her first major and long-running voice role was as Candace Flynn in the animated series Phineas and Ferb.

In the realm of anime and animation, Kalbhenn is the German voice for a wide array of characters. She voices Yuuri in The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious, Pepper in No Guns Life, Darcia in Arte, Reina Haba in Drifting Home, and Verda El Hazard in The Greatest Demon Lord is Reborn as a Typical Nobody.
