Description
Yuuri, a sheltered heir from an affluent family, is thrust into sudden solitude after his parents’ fatal accident leaves him responsible for their sprawling estate. Strapped for funds, he releases the staff and stubbornly tackles the mansion’s upkeep alone—a futile endeavor given his inexperience. His struggles intensify when Lilith, an enigmatic maid, appears uninvited and insists on serving without wages, sparking immediate distrust.

Convinced her flawless housekeeping and uncanny ability to predict his desires hint at witchcraft or manipulation, Yuuri obsessively monitors her every move. He misreads her sincere efforts as calculated ploys, unaware his hypervigilance masks a growing romantic fixation he rationalizes as suspicion.

Their dynamic spirals into comedic tension: his theatrical efforts to unveil her “schemes” backfire, blurting unintended praise that leaves Lilith flustered. Amid clashing wits, a tentative bond emerges, deepened by Lilith’s cryptic hints about her ties to his family history. Yuuri’s guarded facade cracks during vulnerable moments—conquering a childhood fear of cats, reluctantly admitting dependence on her companionship.

Tsukasa Gojouin, a classmate enamored with their tumultuous rapport, repeatedly dissects Yuuri’s mixed signals until he begrudgingly acknowledges his feelings. Yet progress is halting; he oscillates between denial and dawning acceptance of his affection while grappling with grief-induced isolation. His evolution intertwines adapting to loss with forging fragile new bonds, each step forward shadowed by the echo of empty halls and Lilith’s quiet, unwavering loyalty.
