Description
Elulu is a young dragonkin mage from Gaeabrande. As a dragon-human hybrid, she and her childhood friend Mash were prophesied chosen ones destined to aid a hero against the Demon Lord. She joins the hero Seiya's party alongside Mash in the Town of Seimul.
Petite with red hair, Elulu favors princess-style attire that exposes her midriff. Initially hopeful and joyful, she shows fragility facing intimidating monsters or situations where her abilities seem inadequate. She cares deeply for companions but becomes easily discouraged when her skills fall short, like struggling with basic fire magic or seeing Seiya instantly master the Fire Arrow technique she labored weeks to learn. This leads to depression and feelings of being a burden, intensified by learning her true purpose was sacrifice to become the holy sword Igzasion, the only weapon capable of slaying the Demon Lord.
Her combat capabilities are initially limited. Her Level 8 statistics show Attack: 101, Defense: 172, Speed: 88, and Magic: 196. She possesses Fire Magic (Level 4) and the Fire Arrow skill, though her offensive spell aptitude is notably poor. She has early resistance to fire, water, and lightning. Over time, she develops vital support abilities: Haste (to accelerate allies), Quick (a superior speed-enhancing spell), and Delay (to significantly impede enemies). These skills prove strategically crucial, particularly in battles like against Wohlks Roseguard where her speed amplification of Seiya is decisive.
A pivotal development occurs in the dragon village. The dragon queen Leviae insists Elulu must fulfill her sacrificial destiny to become Igzasion, forcing Elulu to confront her perceived lack of purpose beyond sacrifice. Seiya intervenes, defeats Leviae, and rejects the sacrifice. His stated rationale—preserving Elulu as his "bag carrier"—belies a deeper refusal to sacrifice companions for victory. This act spares her life and renews her determination to contribute meaningfully to the group's objectives.
Her relationships define key journey aspects. She shares a sibling-like bond with Mash, rooted in their shared dragonkin heritage and prophecy. With the goddess Ristarte, she develops a sisterly connection. Her dynamic with Seiya evolves from initial hopefulness to feelings of inadequacy, eventually settling into a dedicated role as his support mage and baggage carrier. This role becomes a source of purpose after her rescue from sacrifice.
Elulu's character arc culminates in accepting a support-focused role, leveraging her learned spells to enhance Seiya's capabilities rather than pursuing offensive prowess. This shift marks her transition from self-doubt to finding value in enabling the party's success through auxiliary means.
