Description
Tsukuyo Inaba is a middle school student who skipped a grade to attend Private Aichi Symbiosis Academy. As the youngest member of the Supreme Five Swords vigilante group, she disciplines students. Despite her blindness, she possesses pale skin, long silver-white hair typically in pigtails with a ribbon bell accessory, and blood-red eyes that remain closed. Her attire is a traditional miko outfit: a white shoulderless top with oversized sleeves, maroon tie, high-waisted red hakama pants secured by a red sash, white socks, and black-and-red clogs.

She compensates for her blindness with immensely sharp hearing, detecting distant sounds, pinpointing locations, analyzing body language, and discerning fighting styles through auditory cues. This acuity lets her navigate familiar environments like academy grounds and battle arenas effectively, though it cannot replace visual social cues or identify objects like weapon authenticity. Physically slight at 138 cm tall, she wields blinding speed and reflexes. Her techniques include "One second, Three slashes" creating butterfly-shaped cuts and "Unyou: Flash of Light," enabling movements too rapid for opponents to track.

Trained in Yakumaru Jigen-ryū sword style—a derivative of Nomura Fudou’s Jigen-ryū—Tsukuyo stands as the strongest Supreme Five Sword. Her mastery delivers precise, lightning-fast strikes capable of slicing flying insects with practice weapons. Later developments reveal her upgraded Madan technique, surpassing Nomura’s proficiency. This advancement positions her as his mentor, training him in the enhanced method. Their collaboration unlocks a combined Madan attack of greater power.

Initially quiet, serious, and the most levelheaded of her peers, Tsukuyo tends toward lengthy explanations and shows irritation when ignored. Social interactions expose underlying loneliness and confusion about friendships, exemplified when questioning Nomura about their relationship after he saves her from Kirukiru Amou. This triggers visible emotional responses: blushing and vocal fluctuations, breaking her typical reserve. Her uncertainty persists, awkwardly confirming her bond with Nono Mozunono during a crisis.

Her development centers on evolving ties with Nomura. After he defeats Amou, Tsukuyo shifts from viewing him as a fellow swordsman to accepting him as a disciple, motivated by recognizing his imperfect technique and her own upgraded Madan. This mentorship deepens mutual respect and combat synergy. Her background as a genius prodigy and struggles with social isolation remain, though interactions with Nomura and the Supreme Five Swords gradually foster belonging within the academy.
