Description
Queen, also known as Phantom Queen EX-X, appears in the anime Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan under the name Kerberos. She is an Orgaloid, an organic android developed by an ancient civilization as a combat unit, and she holds the position of commander in the Checkmate Force, an elite group acting under Isaac, the leader of the mechanized air pirates called Gailbunker. Her introduction to the story comes through the islander Hank, who finds her as an enigmatic android doll along the shoreline, and at first she presents a puzzling and emotionless figure.

As the story progresses, her background is expanded. In the tenth episode it is revealed that, like the mysterious girl Kaguya, she originates from another universe, and that the pirates connected to her also come from that shared world. Her true purpose in the anime is to safeguard Kaguya from those pirates, which gives her an underlying protective mission beneath her cold and military bearing. This revelation reframes her presence from that of a simple android to a guardian sent from another realm.

In terms of personality, Queen is defined by the absence of emotion. She behaves as a purpose-built combat machine that carries out its orders with exact discipline and without hesitation. Her manner of speaking is blunt and functional, and she treats herself as an instrument of her mission rather than as an individual with personal wishes. This lack of feeling is central to her character and sets her apart from the more expressive people she encounters.

Her motivations are tied directly to duty. As a commander of the Checkmate Force, she is committed to the cause of her king, Isaac, and she states plainly that enemies who obstruct the king's path will be removed. When her deeper mission in the anime becomes clear, her loyalty is shown to extend to the protection of Kaguya, meaning that her actions, while hard and impersonal in tone, are always directed toward a defined objective.

Queen's key relationships reflect her functional nature. She serves Isaac as her king and master, and this allegiance is a core part of her identity. Her bond with Kaguya is the most significant element of her anime role, as protecting Kaguya is the mission that ultimately explains her actions. Her meeting with Hank is what brings her into the island's story, while her interactions with the main characters are shaped by her origins as an outsider from another world.

Her development over the course of the anime is driven by revelations rather than by emotional change. The discovery of her otherworldly origin and her protective mission adds depth to a character who initially appears to be little more than a silent android. Even with this added context, she remains largely constant in demeanor, staying composed, obedient, and mission-focused from beginning to end.

In appearance, she is depicted as a young woman with black hair reaching waist length and blue eyes, though her outwardly human form conceals her android nature. As a multi-purpose combat android, Queen possesses notable abilities suited to warfare. She is engineered for battle and functions as a versatile fighter, able to engage in direct combat and to operate within a military hierarchy. Her mechanical construction gives her the endurance and reliability expected of a machine built for combat, and her emotionless focus allows her to perform her duties without hesitation or distraction.
