Description
In "Gravion," humanity faces an existential threat from the Zeravire, mysterious alien entities that emerge from another dimension. To combat this menace, the wealthy and enigmatic Eiji Shigure assembles a team of pilots to operate the Gravion, a massive super robot composed of smaller mecha units. The story centers on Eiji's adopted son, Toga Tenkuji, a skilled but reluctant pilot who joins the team after his sister is abducted by the Zeravire. Alongside Toga, the team includes a diverse group of pilots, each with unique personalities and skills, such as the stoic Sandman, the cheerful Mizuki Tachibana, and the enigmatic Leele.
The narrative unfolds as the team battles the Zeravire in increasingly intense confrontations, uncovering the true nature of the alien threat and its connection to Eiji's past. The Zeravire's attacks grow more sophisticated, forcing the team to adapt and strengthen their bonds to unlock the Gravion's full potential. As the story progresses, secrets about Eiji's motivations and the origins of the Zeravire are revealed, adding layers of intrigue and complexity to the plot. The series balances action-packed mecha battles with character-driven drama, exploring themes of sacrifice, loyalty, and the cost of protecting humanity.
The first season, "Gravion," sets the stage with the team's formation and initial battles, while the second season, "Gravion Zwei," delves deeper into the overarching mystery, culminating in a climactic showdown that resolves the conflict with the Zeravire. Throughout the series, the interplay between the characters and their evolving relationships adds emotional depth to the high-stakes battles, creating a compelling narrative that blends mecha action with personal drama.

Staffel 1
1The Steel God
Eiji Shigure travels to a remote fortress called Solo. He seeks the owner,Klein Sandman, to demand information about his missing sister. Sandman's maid, Luna, intercepts Eiji and engages him in a brief skirmish. Sandman appears and reveals he already knows Eiji's purpose. An alien vessel, a Zakarl, descends over Tokyo and begins attacking the city. Sandman orders the activation of the Gravion system. He directs Eiji to enter the Gran Divider, a large mecha stored in the fortress. Four other pilots launch in their own machines: the Gran Cutters and the Gran Bomber. The five units fly toward the Zakarl and combine into the giant robot Gravion. Eiji, stationed in the core, controls Gravion's movements. Gravion strikes the Zakarl with its fist, destroying the alien ship. After the battle, Sandman offers Eiji a position on the Gravion team. Eiji accepts, hoping the role will lead him to his sister's whereabouts. The episode closes with a second Zakarl appearing on the horizon, signaling another attack.
2Gathering of the Chosen
Eiji Shigure regains consciousness in the Trinity Sanctum's medical bay. Klein Sandman explains the Zeravire threat and the purpose of the Gravion system. Sandman introduces three other pilots: Luna Gusuku,Mizuki Tachibana, and Raimon Carter. Each pilot controls a separate Gran Trooper vehicle that combines to form the giant robot Gravion. Sandman assigns Eiji to pilot the right leg unit. Eiji undergoes a brief training simulation to learn the combination sequence. A Zeravire attack on a coastal city triggers the alarm. The pilots launch in their Gran Troopers. Eiji hesitates to engage, still doubting his role. Luna's encouragement pushes him to proceed. The five units combine successfully into God Gravion. The combined robot uses its Graviton Cannon to destroy the Zeravire. After the battle, Eiji confronts Sandman about his missing sister, Ayaka. Sandman withholds direct answers, stating that Eiji must continue piloting to learn the truth. The episode closes with Eiji accepting his position while remaining suspicious of Sandman's motives.

11The Thing That Was Lost
Eiji Shigure quits the Gran Knights and returns to his normal life at school after witnessing Toga's ruthless behavior in battle. Toga locks himself in his room and refuses to eat at the castle. Raven observes that Sandman raised Toga exclusively as a pilot, which stunted his social development and emotional growth. Toga tells Luna that fighting and winning are not enough; he needs something more to feel human. Leele leaves the castle to find Eiji and persuade him to rejoin the team, arguing that only Eiji can curb Toga's dangerous impulses. Two Zeravire appear and head for Earth, arriving in ten minutes. The Earth Federation Air Force engages the enemies in space but fails to inflict any damage. Gravion sorties with the automated Gran Phantom System piloting the missing units. The super robot's attacks, including the Graviton Tornado Punch, prove ineffective against the Zeravire. Leele realizes the auto-pilot cannot secure victory and tries to leave the air raid shelter to return to Gravion. Eiji chases after her, but falling debris from the battle endangers him. Yumi pushes Eiji out of the way and takes the impact herself, suffering a serious injury. With his friend wounded because of his departure, Eiji faces the immediate consequence of abandoning the team and must now decide whether to return to the castle as the battle against the Zeravire remains unresolved.
12Because You're With Me
Gravion engages three Zeravire units simultaneously but suffers heavy damage. The Zeravire deploy a jamming signal that blocks the G-Call,preventing the Gran Knights from summoning their machines. Yumi regains consciousness after being trapped under rocks and urges Eiji to pilot Gravion to protect everyone. Cookie removes the debris from Yumi and transports her to the medical room. The Zeravire deflect all of Gravion's attacks and destroy the Graviton Sword. Sandman orders a search for the jamming signal's origin and identifies a third Zeravire stationed in the upper atmosphere. Gravion attempts to destroy that unit, but the two lower Zeravire intercept and send Gravion crashing to Earth. Eiji and Leele catch up to the disassembled Gravion, which reconfigures to pick them up. Sandman orders the team not to recombine but instead split forces to attack all three Zeravire simultaneously. The G-Driller destroys one Zeravire, though the enemy reforms itself. Leele, Mizuki, and Eiji destroy the skyborne Zeravire, which broadcasts a laser into space before disintegrating. The destruction eliminates the jamming signal, allowing an attack on the ground-based Zeravire. The team blows a hole in its protective barrier, Gravion combines inside the barrier, and destroys that Zeravire, then quickly dispatches the remaining unit. Eiji visits Yumi in the hospital after she recovers. He announces his return to fight alongside Gravion, steps through a window onto the robot, and receives a welcome back from everyone at the castle. The Gran Knights prepare for the next Zeravire assault as the series approaches its conclusion.
13White Steel Fang
The Zeravire in deep space receive a directive to eradicate humanity and adapt specifically to overcome Gravion. The alien force evolves at an accelerated rate, developing countermeasures to all of Gravion's existing attacks. The Earth Federation Alliance president unveils a new large-scale robot as a defensive weapon. Raven proposes deploying the White Steel Fang, a super heavyweight sword. A Zeravire lands directly in front of the new EFA robot and waits. Sandman refuses to authorize Gravion's dispatch, recognizing the enemy has evolved solely to target and neutralize the super robot. Technicians add a new blade, the Graviton Breaker, to Gravion. Sandman approves the launch after the weapon installation. Gravion executes a high-speed surprise assault, but the Zeravire survives and parries the Graviton Breaker with its own sword. As Gravion begins losing the battle, Sandman deploys the White Steel Fang. The massive sword deflects the Zeravire's killing blow, and Gravion seizes it. Gravion performs the Super Heavyweight Slash technique, obliterating the Zeravire. In the castle, Ayaka rises from a body of water.
