Description
Hami Osawa is a teenage girl with short pink hair, pink eyes, and typically wears glasses. She exhibits extreme shyness, chronic self-doubt, and severe social anxiety. This manifests in frequent apologies for minor perceived inconveniences and expressions of belief that others would be better off without her. Her insecurity stems from her famous author father, leading her to attribute her own writing awards solely to his influence rather than her own merit.

She previously attended school with Kazuhito Harumi. Their friendship began when he discovered an unfinished manuscript she intended to discard. Instead, he encouraged her writing and promised to become her first reader, forging a meaningful connection. After Kazuhito's death and reincarnation as a dachshund, Hami recognizes him through familiar mannerisms and his knowledge of the manuscript's hidden location. Though unable to hear his thoughts telepathically, she accurately interprets his communication attempts.

To prove her writing abilities were earned independently, Hami challenges author Kirihime Natsuno to a literary contest. During this competition, Hami employs underhanded tactics like hypnosis and psychological suggestion to undermine Kirihime's confidence. Despite this, Kirihime defeats her and clarifies that Hami's awards resulted solely from her own talent, with no paternal intervention. This revelation marks a turning point, alleviating Hami's primary source of insecurity.

Following the contest, Hami develops a respectful relationship with Kirihime, addressing her as "senpai." She occasionally interacts with the main group, though her persistent social anxiety remains evident, particularly in situations like communal baths where physical comparisons exacerbate her self-consciousness. Her passion for writing remains central to her character.
