Description
Akira Todou, daughter of an airline company president, attends Hakusen Academy's elite Special A class where she ranks sixth academically. She sports short violet hair, brown eyes, light skin, and a distinctive mole beneath her left eye, standing 159 cm tall. Her childhood long hair, often secured with a hairband, was cut short following an incident involving Yahiro Saiga. She wears the standard SA uniform: navy blue skirt, pale green shirt, pale yellow tie, and white blazer emblazoned with the SA logo, switching to a short-sleeved white shirt and purple skirt in summer. Off-campus, she favors fashionable, feminine attire and delights in dressing other girls in cute outfits.

Her personality blends elegant refinement with surprising volatility. Trained in social graces, she exhibits calm poise during tea ceremonies and formal events, reflecting her affluent background. Yet she possesses a quick temper, frequently erupting in anger toward Tadashi Karino and Kei Takishima, often resorting to physical confrontations. She demonstrates intense protectiveness, especially toward Hikari Hanazono, whom she idolizes as a "cute little angel." This fierce guardianship extends to other girls, contrasting her initial coldness toward boys. Childhood memories reveal a timid, naive, and shy girl who cried easily. Her transformation into a more resilient individual stems significantly from her friendship with Hikari. Deeply valuing companionship due to childhood loneliness caused by her family's intimidating status, she hosts tea parties for the SA group, preparing international snacks fueled by her culinary enthusiasm.

Relationships profoundly shape her. With childhood friend Tadashi Karino, interactions involve constant arguments and physical clashes, masking mutual romantic feelings. Tadashi's first confession occurs unheard during a bicycle ride after Yahiro's birthday party. Later, while trying to suppress her emotions, she inadvertently voices her love aloud just as Tadashi overhears, leading to reconciliation and the SA group's first official relationship, often marked by her tsundere vacillation between hostility and affection.

Her bond with Hikari Hanazono begins in elementary school when Hikari defends her against Yahiro's bullying. This act inspires Akira to shed her fearfulness, viewing Hikari as a pivotal figure. She remains excessively protective, intervening in Hikari's affairs and attempting to shield her from Kei's advances, offering unconditional assistance like aiding Hikari's cooking despite her lack of skill.

Her fractured relationship with another childhood friend, Yahiro Saiga, results from his sabotage of her early friendships. He drives away her first female friend, Sayo, after discovering Sayo exploited Akira financially. Akira severs ties, demanding he avoid her unless she initiates contact. Their estrangement persists until an SA trip to Hawaii prompts Yahiro's reconciliation attempt. She gradually softens, later inviting him to tea parties and defending Megumi Yamamoto from his teasing. Yahiro initially harbors unrequited feelings but moves on after dating Megumi.

Childhood betrayal scars her deeply. Sayo feigns friendship while privately expressing disdain, leading Yahiro to threaten her family. When Sayo falsely claims Yahiro forced the separation, Akira believes her, deepening distrust. Later, Yui Oikawa—physically resembling Sayo—also betrays her by stealing jewelry. After Yui confesses, Akira forgives her and secures employment for Yui's father, demonstrating empathy despite past wounds.

Her character development centers on conquering isolation and emotional fragility. Early betrayals by false friends fuel initial shyness, but her connection with Hikari builds confidence. She evolves from a "crybaby" into an assertive individual confronting conflicts directly, exemplified by challenging Kei over fears of losing Hikari's closeness. Her romance with Tadashi further solidifies maturity, balancing protective instincts with deeper emotional bonds.
