Description
"Black Blood Brothers" is a 12-episode anime series set in a world where vampires, known as Kowloon Children, coexist with humans after a devastating war between the two species. The story centers on Jiro Mochizuki, a powerful vampire from the Kowloon Bloodline, and his younger brother Kotaro. Jiro is a former hero of the Kowloon Conflict, a war that nearly eradicated the vampire race, and now seeks a peaceful life while protecting his brother. The siblings travel to the Special Zone, a sanctuary where humans and vampires live together under strict regulations, to escape the dangers of the outside world.

The Special Zone is governed by the Compromisers, a group tasked with maintaining order between humans and vampires. However, the sanctuary is under threat from the Kowloon Children, a faction of vampires who seek to dominate both species. Jiro and Kotaro become entangled in the conflict when they encounter Mimiko Katsuragi, a human Compromiser, and Cassandra Jill Warlock, a vampire noblewoman. Together, they must navigate the political tensions and supernatural threats within the Special Zone.

Jiro’s past as a warrior and his unique abilities, including his mastery of the "Silver Blade" technique, make him a key figure in the struggle against the Kowloon Children. His relationship with Kotaro, who is unaware of his own latent vampire powers, adds emotional depth to the narrative. The series explores themes of brotherhood, loyalty, and the consequences of war, while maintaining a focus on action and supernatural intrigue. The plot unfolds through a mix of episodic encounters and overarching conflicts, culminating in a confrontation that tests the bonds between the characters and their resolve to protect the fragile peace of the Special Zone.

1The Black Blood
Jirou Mochizuki and his younger brother Kotarou arrive at the gate of the Special Zone,a walled district in Hong Kong that separates humans from vampires. The guards refuse Jirou’s outdated identification pass and deny entry. Mimiko Katsuragi, an agent of the Company, intervenes and escorts the brothers into the zone. Inside, Mimiko explains that the Company monitors vampire activity and enforces the zone’s regulations. Kotarou complains of hunger, and Jirou gives him a blood tablet to suppress his thirst. That night, a Kowloon Child vampire attacks a group of humans in an alley, draining their blood and leaving the bodies mutilated. Mimiko arrives at the scene but cannot defeat the creature due to its rapid regeneration. Jirou steps forward, cuts his own arm, and shapes his flowing blood into a blade. He reveals himself as an Old Blood vampire, specifically the Black Blood of the Mochizuki family. The Kowloon Child strikes back, but Jirou impales its core and destroys it completely. After the fight, Mimiko recognizes Jirou as the legendary hero who ended the Holy War eleven years ago. Jirou warns that the Kowloon Children are returning and that the Special Zone is no longer secure. He decides to remain in the zone to protect Kotarou, who is still adapting to his vampire physiology. The Company transmits an alert: a new wave of Kowloon Children has entered the zone, and their target is Jirou.
2The Contract
Jiro and Kotaro Mochizuki enter the Special Zone through its main gate. A young Red Blood woman named Mimiko Katsuragi approaches them and offers her services as a guide for Old Bloods. Mimiko explains that vampires must register with the zone's governing body and find a Red Blood contractor to act as their legal representative. She takes the brothers to an abandoned apartment building that she intends to rent to them. While inspecting the apartment,a Kowaku vampire named Cassandra Jill Warlock breaks into the building. Cassandra attacks Jiro, seeking to absorb his Black Blood to strengthen herself. Jiro avoids her initial strikes and then retaliates by drawing his own blood to form a blade. He cuts off one of Cassandra's arms, forcing her to retreat temporarily. Mimiko witnesses the fight and realizes Jiro possesses exceptional power among Old Bloods. After the battle, Jiro agrees to sign Mimiko's contract, making her his official contractor in the Special Zone. The episode ends with Cassandra vowing to return with reinforcements, threatening the fragile peace Jiro has just secured.

Alice Eve observes the battle from a distance. Jiro cannot break free with his regular strength. He decides to release the demon's blood sealed within him. His right arm transforms into a large black claw. The claw tears through the blood threads. Jiro strikes the enemy vampire, ending the fight. Kotaro frees himself from the enemy's grip. After the battle, Jiro's arm reverts, but he warns that using the demon's blood accelerates his transformation into a full demon. Alice realizes the danger Jiro poses to everyone around him. 8Protector
Yafuri Zhao,a direct-line Kowloon blood descendant, appears before Jiro and challenges the Silver Blade. Yafuri had heard about Jiro from Cassa and fights with apparent advantage. The Company's suppression team arrives at the scene, and Yafuri vanishes into the darkness. Jiro, disturbed by Cassa's name, decides to leave the Special Zone and separate from Mimiko. The Company discusses how to handle the Kowloon contamination case within the Special Zone. Kain explains his history with Cassandra Jill Warlock, indicating her potential involvement. Zaza tells Yafuri not to confront the Silver Blade alone, but Yafuri ignores the warning. Kotaro leaves Jiro, determined to say goodbye to Mimiko rather than departing without farewell. Mimiko wakes up in a hotel and meets Hibari and Kelly Wong. Kelly encourages Mimiko to find Jiro. Kain informs Jiro that Cassa and the Kowloon children do not target Jiro or his brother. Jiro searches for Kotaro, who has gone missing after leaving to find Mimiko.
