Maxi Häcke

Description
Maximiliane Häcke, also known as Maxi Häcke, is a German voice actor and singer born on December 17, 1988, in Cologne. She began her career in voice acting as a child, as there was a consistent demand for young voices in the industry. Her first major role came at the age of eleven when she provided the German voice for the character Upa in the anime series Dragon Ball. After completing her schooling, she took acting and singing lessons. Although she initially considered a path in on-screen acting, she ultimately moved to Berlin after being cast in a leading role for the children's program Kikaninchen, committing her career fully to voice work, including dubbing, audiobooks, and commercials.

Häcke has lent her voice to a wide array of characters in anime productions. She is the German voice of Asuna Watase in Makoto Shinkai's film Children Who Chase Lost Voices. In the acclaimed drama A Silent Voice, she voices Yuzuru Nishimiya, the younger sister of the main character. Her other anime credits include the role of Amefurikozou in the series Karas and Solty Revant in Solty Rei. Beyond these, her extensive filmography encompasses a variety of other animated roles, such as Karin Kurosaki in Bleach, July in Darker than Black, Nanachi in Made in Abyss, and Seishirou Tsugumi in Nisekoi: Liebe, Lügen & Yakuza.

In addition to her work in anime, Häcke is a prominent voice in both international live-action dubbing and German children's programming. She is the long-standing voice of the character Kikaninchen on the children's channel KiKA, a role she describes as a particular favorite. Her dubbing work for live-action films and series is extensive and includes high-profile projects: she voices Shuri in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever; Ellie Phimister / Negasonic Teenage Warhead in the Deadpool films; and Eloise Bridgerton in the series Bridgerton. She also provided the German voice for the character Meena in the Sing films. Her performance as the lead character Adèle in the French film Blue Is the Warmest Colour was a significant moment in her career after she moved to Berlin.

Häcke's work is not limited to on-screen dubbing. She is an active audiobook and radio play narrator, having performed in productions for series like Gruselkabinett and Sherlock Holmes. She is also a singer, having provided vocals for various projects, including the role of Pimboli on multiple Diddl audio play CDs. Beyond performance, she co-hosts the podcast Feuer & Brot with her friend and colleague Alice Hasters, and since 2023, the podcast Rekorder – Das Hörspielmagazin with Bürger Lars Dietrich.
