Travis Willingham is an American voice actor recognized for his extensive work in English dubs of anime, animated series, and video games. Born on August 3, 1981, in Dallas, Texas, he developed an interest in acting during his school years and went on to graduate from Texas Christian University with a degree in theater. His professional voice acting career began in the late 1990s and early 2000s, with early work at Funimation in Dallas, where he contributed to dubs for major franchises like Dragon Ball Z.

Willingham's breakthrough role came when he was cast as Roy Mustang in the English adaptation of the anime series Fullmetal Alchemist. This performance became one of his most iconic and long-running roles, which he later reprised in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and several related OVAs and films, such as Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conqueror of Shamballa and Fullmetal Alchemist: Premium Collection. This success established him as a prominent figure in the industry.

Following his move to Los Angeles, Willingham secured a wide array of roles in numerous other English anime adaptations. He voiced the character Neeba in both The Tower of Druaga: The Aegis of Uruk and The Tower of Druaga: The Sword of Uruk. In the popular series Ouran High School Host Club, he provided the voice for the stoic Takashi "Mori" Morinozuka. He also took on the roles of Houshou Takigawa in Ghost Hunt, Loki in KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple, and Leon in the film Vexille - 2077 Isolation of Japan. For fans of the long-running series One Piece, Willingham is well-known as the voice of Portgas D. Ace, a role he played in the Funimation dub, including the special One Piece 3D2Y: Overcoming Ace's Death! Luffy's Pledge to His Friends. He also portrayed Katakura Kojuro in Sengoku Basara - Samurai Kings: The Last Party.

Beyond anime, Willingham has a prolific career voicing characters in Western animation and video games. He is particularly known for his frequent collaborations with Marvel, where he has been the definitive voice of Thor for many years in series such as Avengers Assemble, Ultimate Spider-Man, and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H., as well as in films like Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers. He also voiced Guile in the Street Fighter IV animated film Street Fighter IV: The Ties That Bind and the game Super Street Fighter IV. His video game work spans major titles, including Knuckles in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise, Isaac Frost in Fight Night Champion, and roles in blockbusters like Grand Theft Auto V and Infamous: Second Son, for which he also performed motion capture.

A significant part of Willingham's later career involves his work as a founder and cast member of the web series Critical Role. Since 2015, he has starred in this live-streamed Dungeons & Dragons campaign, voicing characters like Grog Strongjaw. The show's immense popularity led to the creation of their own production company, Critical Role Productions, for which Willingham serves as CEO. He also reprises his role as Grog in the company's animated series, The Legend of Vox Machina. For his contributions to the voice acting community, he was named Voice Actor of the Year at the 2017 BTVA Voice Acting Awards. He is married to fellow voice actress Laura Bailey, with whom he has frequently collaborated throughout his career.
