Description
Thor Odinson, Norse God of Thunder and future king of Asgard, wields the enchanted hammer Mjolnir to command storms and lightning. As an Avenger confronting Loki's scheme involving Tony Stark's DISK technology, Thor was captured during an assault on the Raft prison and imprisoned within a DISK. Spider-Man secured this DISK, entrusting it to Hikaru Akatsuki, who became Thor's partner and could temporarily release him using a biocode key.
Thor forged a strong bond with Hikaru, recognizing their shared dedication to protecting younger siblings—Hikaru with his brother Akira, and Thor with his adoptive brother Loki. This mutual understanding led Thor to acknowledge Hikaru's positive influence on his outlook. However, Thor's lingering concern for Loki created a vulnerability; Loki exploited this during a mission at an abandoned research plant, provoking Thor into a confrontation. Hikaru intervened, helping Thor see through the deception and avoid the trap.
Thor's loyalty underwent a decisive shift after Loki mortally wounded Hawkeye during a battle on a villain frigate; Thor ceased holding back, accepting Loki was beyond redemption. This resolve was tested again when Red Skull corrupted Hikaru using dark energy from the Dimension Sphere. Thor fought fellow Avengers under Red Skull's influence to protect Hikaru. He later intercepted a lethal energy blast Hikaru aimed at Hawkeye, shielding Hawkeye and enabling Hikaru to expel the dark energy.
Thor's combat prowess and strategic role proved pivotal in major conflicts. He participated in the assault dismantling Red Skull's global operations, overpowering Graviton alongside Hikaru. He engaged the Omega Ultron armor directly during Ultron's defeat, enabling Hank Pym to deploy a counter-virus. Furthermore, Thor leveraged his synchronization with Hikaru to purge Baron Blood's vampiric influence, demonstrating their deepened partnership.
During the final confrontation against Dormammu, Thor initially conserved his strength while secondary heroes defended S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier. He later rejoined the Avengers after Nick Fury permanently released all DISK-imprisoned heroes using a new biocode system. Freed from time limitations, Thor fought alongside the Avengers to thwart Dormammu and Loki's plans.
