Description
Johan Tsang is a character from the anime Black Blood Brothers who initially presents himself as a fellow refugee but is later revealed to be a Kowloon Child. He is a male character with the appearance of a teenager, characterized by brown eyes and brown hair that falls to his neck. As a vampire, he possesses the supernatural abilities common to his kind, including the power to control others by drinking their blood.

Johan first appears alongside Kelly Wong, the leader of a group of vampires seeking entry into the Special Zone. In these early encounters, he hides his true identity, pretending to be an ordinary member of Kelly's group while secretly harboring a much darker nature. His primary motivation is to reach the Special Zone, and he is willing to betray and endanger those around him to achieve this goal.

The truth about Johan emerges when he is identified as the Kowloon Child that the Special Zone Suppression Team had been hunting. A Kowloon Child is a particularly dangerous type of vampire known for killing the people they feed on and being able to turn others into vampires, unlike ordinary vampires. Once his deception is uncovered, Johan reveals his true power by taking control of most of the members in Kelly Wong's group, having secretly sucked their blood to make them obey his commands. He also kidnaps the young Kotaro, further demonstrating his cruel and manipulative nature.

Key relationships define Johan's role in the story. His relationship with Kelly Wong is built on deception, as he uses her group as cover while secretly planning to subvert them for his own purposes. He also has a significant antagonistic connection with the protagonist Jiro Mochizuki, who ultimately becomes his destroyer. Johan attempts to use Kotaro, Jiro's younger brother, as a pawn in his scheme, which directly provokes the conflict that leads to his downfall.

Johan's development follows a trajectory from concealed threat to open antagonist. After his true nature is exposed, he makes a desperate attempt to enter the Special Zone via the Twilight Bridge. However, before he can succeed, he is confronted and killed by Jiro Mochizuki, bringing his plot to an end. His role in the story serves as a reminder of the genuine danger posed by Kowloon Children and provides a direct catalyst for the main characters' actions, particularly Jiro's pursuit of his kidnapped brother. His alignment is consistently portrayed as villainous, representing one of the primary threats that the protagonists must overcome.
