Description
Cain Warlock is an Old Blood vampire who operates within the Special Zone in collaboration with the Company, a human organization that manages relations with the vampire community. Known by several epithets, including Hero of the Kowloon Shock, Retainer of the Warlock family, Knight of King Azami, and Cain the Blue Wolf, he is a figure of considerable renown and power. As the head of the Marine Bank, a major financial institution within the Special Zone, Cain holds significant influence over the European vampire clans and also wields considerable sway in the human economic world.

Cain is a massive man with silver-gray hair and matching gray eyes, and he possesses a serious and straightforward personality. He belongs to the bloodline of Morgan the Witch, and he is a highly skilled sorcerer, combining his magical abilities with physical combat techniques to create a unique and effective fighting style. One of his most notable abilities is the power to transform into a large blue wolf, a form from which he derives his nickname. As a vampire with three hundred years of history, he is an exceptionally powerful fighter, capable of giving even the feral Kowloon Children a difficult battle.

His history is deeply intertwined with the Warlock family and a tragic betrayal. Cain shares the same bloodline as Cassandra Warlock, and he served the family faithfully long before her treachery. He was also one of the guardians of Alice, whose death was ultimately caused by Cassandra. Following these events, Cain became a loyal servant to Sei, often referred to as Lord Dragon Sei or the master of turtles. His past also marks him as a hero of the Kowloon Shock, the major conflict between vampires and humans that serves as a pivotal historical event in the story.

In his interactions with the protagonist, Jiro Mochizuki, Cain frequently shows disrespect, taking every opportunity to criticize him. Despite this outward behavior, he holds a deep respect for Jiro’s power and combat skills, even if he views Jiro as immature in other aspects. This dynamic reveals a complex relationship where professional respect is masked by personal antagonism. As the head of the Marine Bank, Cain occupies a strategic role, managing the economic and political landscape of the Special Zone, which places him in a position of authority and influence throughout the narrative.
