Thomas Friebe is a German voice actor and off-speaker, born on November 27, 1968, in Lathen. His career in media began in 1989 with a journalistic traineeship at a radio station, which included a two-year voice and speech training program. This experience led him to pursue further private acting courses and workshops, ultimately transitioning to working exclusively as a speaker for film, television, advertising, and marketing in 2001.

Friebe is widely recognized for his voice in German-dubbed versions of numerous international film and television productions. His work in anime and animation includes providing the German voice for Raymond McGuire in the series Phantom: The Animation. Other notable anime roles in his repertoire include Scars Bruder in both Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Don Kanonji in Bleach, Hitoshi Demegawa in Death Note, and the narrator for the first two seasons of LEGO Ninjago - Masters of Spinjitzu.

Beyond anime, Friebe has an extensive body of work in video game voice acting, where he is particularly known as the long-standing German voice of the character Desmond Miles in the Assassin's Creed video game series, a role he has voiced across multiple installments including Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed III, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla. His other prominent video game roles include Benny in Fallout: New Vegas, Atoq Navarro in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and the titular character in Risen 3: Titan Lords. In a notable recurring collaboration, he also voiced Edward Richtofen in Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

In addition to his voice work for animation and games, Friebe has established himself as a prominent off-screen narrator and station voice. He is the station voice for the German television channel RTL Nitro and is a familiar voice to German audiences as an off-speaker for popular television shows such as Wer wird Millionär?.
