Description
Pantera is an android created by the Otherworld King. His black robotic body features red eyes and distinctive white stripes across his face. In civilian settings, he typically wears a suit with a red tie and occasionally glasses. His battle form involves shedding clothing to reveal five embedded gems and extended white striping patterns across his body. As an artificial being, Pantera initially displays limited personality, often imitating human behaviors awkwardly while expressing a desire to understand and possess a heart.

Serving as one of the Otherworld King's Three Heads alongside Leon and Kazan, Pantera acts as an antagonist. He confronts protagonist Dan Bashin en route to the king, revealing his paradoxical purpose: engineered specifically "to defeat the Otherworld King" despite unwavering loyalty. Pantera claims an undefeated record against otherworlders but consistent losses against his creator. In their first duel (episode 24), Pantera gains advantage using "The DinoCavalry Diridalus," but Dan's summoning of "The StarEmperorDragon Meteorwurm" triggers Pantera's memories of battling its former user, Julian. This evokes unfamiliar sensations resembling human emotion, leading to his defeat and subsequent decision to join Dan and Yuuki's group.

Later, Pantera confronts Mai Viole (episode 29) under orders to locate Dan. He wins their duel but expresses confusion over Mai's tactical hesitations, questioning why she withheld finishing moves. After learning she deliberately stalled without knowing Dan's whereabouts, he disengages without further conflict. Pantera subsequently aids Leon in capturing Kajitsu Momose (episode 39), retreating after her rescue despite the ongoing battle.

During the climax, Pantera reappears guarding the red Horizon Ladder (episodes 39-40). Identical Pantera-model androids, each colored according to different attributes, guard the remaining ladders. These androids are revealed as the true Grand Cores powering the portals between worlds. The original Pantera becomes possessed by the Otherworld King, who forces him to disclose this truth to Dan. In their final duel, Pantera is defeated. As his body deteriorates due to the removal of his Grand Core, he gives Dan an X-rare card, "The SupernovaDragon Siegwurm-Nova," speculating this card—generated from their intense battles—might represent his "heart or life." Pantera is destroyed immediately afterward.

His legacy is commemorated through the in-universe card "Pantera's Heart and Life." Its "Burst" effect replicates Dan revealing "Siegwurm-Nova" from his deck after a spirit's destruction, summoning it without cost—directly mirroring Pantera's last scene. The character does not appear or receive development in sequel series like "Brave," "Saga Brave," or other franchise media. His narrative remains confined to "Shōnen Gekiha Dan."
