In terms of personality, Kuto is largely fearless and unwaveringly loyal, carrying out his duties with a cold and professional detachment. His motivations are singular: to protect Fumito and execute any order given, showing no signs of personal ambition outside that role. Within the story, Kuto first appears as a watchful presence, alerting Fumito to Saya Kisaragi’s presence in Tokyo. His main role comes during the climax, when Saya infiltrates Tower’s headquarters. As the primary barrier between Saya and Fumito, Kuto confronts her directly. During their fight, he employs a talisman placed on his forehead and squeezes a vial of Saya’s own blood onto it, triggering a transformation into an Elder Bairn hybrid. This grants him monstrous power, but he is ultimately defeated and killed by Saya. His key relationship is solely with Fumito, to whom he is completely devoted, with no other connections of note.
