Description
Orion Eden is a Bronze Saint of the Orion constellation in the twenty-first century as depicted in the anime Saint Seiya Omega. He is fifteen years old and commands the element of thunder, referred to as the Thunder Cosmo. Eden is the son of the god Mars and the sorceress Medea, making him a demigod and the prince of the Martians. He is also the half-brother of Sonia, who was born to Mars and a different mother.

Eden's background sets him apart from most other Saints. From childhood, he was raised by Mars and Medea to become the ruler of a new world that would replace the existing one. He underwent intense training under the Lion Gold Saint Mycenae from a very young age, and while studying at the Palaestra training facility he was regarded as its strongest student. Despite holding only the rank of Bronze Saint, his standing within the Sanctuary was unusually high, and Mars granted him the privilege of moving freely through the Twelve Temples, a privilege he later loses. His upbringing instilled in him the conviction that personal bonds and hesitation are serious weaknesses that a true warrior cannot afford.

In terms of personality, Eden is enigmatic, reserved, and distant, and he rarely engages in conversation with others. He carries himself with an air of cold authority, appearing elegant and self-assured. At the start of the story he firmly believes in the supremacy of the strong and dismisses the weak, trusting only in his own power. His actions and worldview reflect the ideals taught by his father: that the world is corrupt and must be destroyed and recreated, and that the strongest should govern the weakest.

His motivations are closely tied to his father's plan. Eden is given the mission of protecting Aria, the girl presented as the new Athena, and he develops a deep personal attachment to her, viewing her protection as his purpose. For much of the early story he acts in service of Mars's cause, acting as an opponent to Pegasus Kouga and his companions. However, through his bond with Aria and his encounters with Kouga and the other Saints, his perspective begins to change. He gradually abandons the belief that strength alone justifies rule, and he comes to understand the value of bonds, friendship, and the desire to protect others.

In the story, Eden occupies an important role moving from a cold and aloof figure aligned with the antagonists into a genuine ally of Athena's Saints. In the later part of the series, he joins the fight against Pallas and the Pallasites, standing alongside Kouga and the others in defense of the earth.

His key relationships shape his arc significantly. With Kouga, he develops a rivalry that grows into one of the closest friendships of his life, with the two repeatedly fighting side by side. With Aria, he shares a protector's devotion, and her fate deeply affects him. His relationship with his father Mars is central to his conflict, as he must break away from the beliefs his father imposed on him. His mother Medea and his half-sister Sonia also tie him to the Martian cause, and his bond with his former master Mycenae reflects the warrior training that defined him.

In terms of abilities, Eden is a highly capable fighter. As a Bronze Saint, he can move and strike at the speed of sound, sometimes slightly beyond it. He wields the Thunder Cosmo, giving him control over lightning-based attacks in combat. His long training under a Gold Saint and his status as the strongest fighter at Palaestra place him among the most powerful Bronze Saints of his generation, and he demonstrates considerable resilience and skill in battle throughout the series.
