Description
Alberto Valentiano, an Italian nobleman commanding a luxury cruise ship, leverages fluency in Japanese and English to engage international guests. His collision with a newlywed Japanese yakuza heir begins with quelling a bar brawl during the latter’s honeymoon, escalating to a spontaneous drunken liaison. The next morning, his authority as captain surfaces, yet the protagonist’s marital status does not deter Alberto’s relentless pursuit, fueled by fascination with the man’s stoic pride and traditional poise—clashes emerge from cultural divides and the protagonist’s unworldly hesitations.

Complications deepen when Alberto’s father, Carlo Valentiano, directs improper overtures toward the protagonist, straining familial ties. A kidnapping orchestrated by rival yakuza thrusts Alberto into a rescue mission, solidifying their fragile alliance. Their dynamic oscillates between sharp-witted banter and volatile disputes, weathering external pressures until emotions are reluctantly confessed.

Rooted in aristocracy and seasoned by years commanding global voyages, Alberto’s past remains shrouded, though his choices reveal a calculated duality: gallantry interwoven with self-serving motives, masking private yearnings beneath a polished facade. Central to his narrative is dismantling the protagonist’s arranged marital obligations and coaxing vulnerability from a bond forged in defiance of convention.
