Nina Heaven is a supporting antagonist in Crying Freeman. She is an American woman, twenty-eight years old, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She leads a mercenary organization known as K.O., which is composed of former Green Berets. Her group opposes the 108 Dragons, the Chinese mafia that the protagonist Freeman serves. Nina Heaven is driven by a desire to destroy the 108 Dragons, and she orchestrates a plot to kidnap the family of the leader of Los Angeles' Chinatown in order to lure Freeman into a trap. She possesses a peculiar and sadistic nature, arranging a deathmatch between Freeman and one of her subordinates, with the promise that the victor would be allowed to spend the night with her. This implies she uses sexuality and violence as tools of manipulation. In combat, she is confident enough to challenge Freeman directly, though she ultimately fails. Her role in the story is that of a formidable adversary, but she does not undergo significant character development. She remains a ruthless and calculating leader who stops at nothing to achieve her goals.
