Description
Kiyone Amayuri is a character from the television anime series Magical Project S, also known as Pretty Sammy TV. In this iteration, she is a fourth-grade homeroom teacher at Umi no Hoshi Elementary School, where she works alongside her colleague Mihoshi Mizutani.

Kiyone is characterized by a strict, no-nonsense personality and takes great pride in her work as an educator. She maintains a highly disciplined classroom environment and expects a great deal from her students, who are often portrayed as academically focused or nerdy as a result of her rigorous methods. Her approach to teaching stands in direct contrast to that of her fellow teacher, Mihoshi, whose relaxed and cheerful style Kiyone finds frustrating and unprofessional. This difference in philosophy fuels a deep-seated rivalry for Kiyone, who resents the noise and perceived lack of order from Mihoshi’s class and is determined to prove herself the superior instructor.

Despite this professional animosity, the relationship between Kiyone and Mihoshi has deep roots, as they have known each other since junior high school. Kiyone’s feelings of rivalry are not entirely reciprocated by Mihoshi, who generally views her strict colleague as her best friend. Outside of her professional ambitions, Kiyone’s personal life includes a significant romantic setback. She was once engaged in an arranged marriage to a wealthy man named Andou Toyokawa, a union intended to secure her family’s financial stability. This engagement ultimately collapsed when Toyokawa was publicly exposed as a deceitful womanizer, an incident that likely reinforces her pragmatic and somewhat guarded worldview.

While Kiyone is a normal human without magical abilities, her role in the story is primarily that of a foil to the more fantastical elements and characters. She possesses a rational and logical mind, which makes it difficult for her to accept the bizarre and magical events that frequently disrupt the ordinary routines of the school. Her typical response to witnessing outright supernatural insanity is to faint on the spot. As a character, Kiyone does not undergo a dramatic transformation but serves as a consistent source of comic relief and grounded tension through her strict adherence to rules and her one-sided rivalry with her more easygoing colleague. Her notable abilities lie not in magic, but in her rigorous enforcement of school protocol, her disciplined teaching style, and her knack for maintaining a stern composure in the face of everyday chaos.
