He is bent on taking over the city and eliminating his nemesis, Cybersix. His most significant relationship is with his father, Doctor Von Reichter. In the animated series, he is generally considered the man's son, and his actions are driven by a mix of filial duty and a personal desire for power. Their relationship is not a loving one; the Doctor is abusive, and José himself shows traits of treachery. In the final confrontation, José ultimately betrays his father when it is decided that the city should be destroyed, and he was intended to become the series' new main antagonist before production ended.
