Description
Dr. Bob Brilliant is a middle-aged scientist and inventor who serves as a central figure in the Gigantor series. His background is deeply tied to the creation of the titular giant robot. He assisted Jimmy Sparks' father in the invention and perfection of Gigantor, but when Professor Sparks died before the robot was complete, Dr. Brilliant finished the work using the plans and parts the two had gathered. In the English adaptation, he lives with his nephew, the young hero Jimmy Sparks, on a remote island. His household also includes his teenage son, Button, and a housekeeper named Lotus.
