Description
Mr. Kanzaki is the father of the Kanzaki household in the anime Majokko Megu-chan. He is a mortal human who married Mami Kanzaki, a former witch who gave up her royal ambitions to live with him. Together they have two biological children, Rabi and Apo. When the young witch Megu arrives on Earth as part of her training, Mami uses a spell to alter the memories of her husband and children, making them believe Megu has always been the eldest daughter of the family. As a result, Mr. Kanzaki is completely unaware of Megu’s true nature as a witch or her connection to the magic realm. He treats her as his own child and participates in everyday family life.

Mr. Kanzaki’s role in the story is that of a supporting father figure. He is a typical, ordinary working man who provides for his family and is often the target of good‑natured mishaps or comic situations. He has no magical abilities and is not directly involved in the magical conflicts or Megu’s training. His personality is not deeply explored, but he is portrayed as a well‑meaning, occasionally clumsy parent who tries to maintain order in a household that frequently descends into chaos due to the antics of Megu, Rabi, and Apo. His motivations revolve around his family’s wellbeing, though he remains largely oblivious to the supernatural events occurring around him.

Key relationships include his wife Mami, who keeps the family’s magical background hidden from him, his biological children Rabi and Apo, and his adopted daughter Megu. His interactions are mostly domestic, and he does not undergo significant character development over the course of the series. His presence serves to ground the story in a human, everyday setting and to highlight Megu’s gradual adaptation to family life.
