Description
Frankenstein is the Berserker-class Servant of the Black faction in the Great Holy Grail War, summoned by the magus Caules Forvedge Yggdmillennia. Her true identity is the artificial life form created by the scientist Victor Frankenstein. Unlike the traditional portrayal of the monster as male, this version is a young woman with a pale, bride-like appearance, wearing a dress-like garment and wielding a large war hammer that doubles as her heart and primary weapon. She stands 172 cm tall and is noted for her unusual habit of hoarding electricity, to the point of unplugging computers and turning off lights to conserve energy.

Created as a being meant to serve as an "Eve" to a future "Adam," Frankenstein was deemed a failure by her creator due to her inability to properly control or integrate her emotions. While highly intelligent, she was prone to violent and unpredictable behavior, such as cruelly killing a dog and offering its entrails as a gift. Terrified of his creation, Victor Frankenstein abandoned her. Abandoned and alone, she pursued him across the globe, eventually driving him to madness and death in the Arctic. Bereft of her creator and any hope for a companion, she took her own life, throwing herself into a fire alongside his body.

In personality, Frankenstein is often compared to a large, distrustful dog. She is mostly silent due to the limitations of her Mad Enhancement skill, communicating primarily through grunts, gestures, and body language. Despite her inability to speak, she possesses remarkably high intelligence and can understand complex human emotions, with the notable exception of sorrow. She is shy about showing her feelings, believing that emoting reveals her own ugliness, and she generally tries to hide her inner self. Her primary wish upon the Holy Grail is to obtain a mate, a companion like herself, as she wishes to mimic a normal human life and exist with a partner.

Throughout the story, Frankenstein plays a crucial, albeit sacrificial, role. She is deployed in combat against the Red faction, finding herself pitted against powerful enemies including the Red Saber, Mordred. During a pivotal battle, she is mentally assaulted by the Red Caster, William Shakespeare, who uses his Noble Phantasm to create a realistic illusion of her father, Victor Frankenstein, causing her immense psychological distress. Later, when she moves to rescue her allies, she is mortally wounded by Mordred. In her final moments, her master, Caules, uses his last Command Spell to force his own feelings aside and commands her to use her ultimate attack, even though it will result in her death. She activates her Noble Phantasm, Blasted Tree, unleashing a massive lightning strike that, while ultimately failing to kill Mordred, succeeds in protecting her allies and, most importantly, resurrects the homunculus Sieg, granting him a portion of her power.

Her relationship with her master, Caules, is central to her development. Although she initially keeps her distance, she comes to trust him, often following him closely. Before her death, as Caules issues the command for her to self-destruct with a cold, forced voice, Frankenstein finally recognizes that he feels pity and sorrow for her death. This realization, that someone would mourn her, is her first and most precious experience of emotional connection, marking the completion of her journey from a rejected, artificial monster to a being capable of understanding human love and loss.

As a Servant, Frankenstein is not exceptionally powerful by typical standards. Her base parameters are low for a Berserker, but she compensates with unique abilities. Her skill Galvanism allows her to freely convert and store biological electricity and magical energy, enabling her to absorb energy-based attacks and use them to heal or strengthen herself. Her primary weapon is her Noble Phantasm, Bridal Chest, a war hammer that serves as her external heart. It can generate and store vast amounts of electrical energy, effectively acting as a perpetual motion machine in combat by reclaiming stray magical energy. Her ultimate attack, Blasted Tree, involves driving her hammer into the ground and releasing all her stored electrical power as a devastating, branching lightning strike that takes the shape of a great tree. This attack, however, consumes her entire existence, leading to her death. In very rare cases, such a massive discharge can give rise to a second Frankenstein's monster, but she dies before seeing the result.
