TV-Series
Description
Jinrai is a Frame Arms Girl, a small robotic fighter with artificial intelligence, who is sent to the home of the human character Ao. Her official purpose is to challenge the existing Frame Arms Girl named Gourai to combat, collecting valuable battle data for the company Factory Advance. After being defeated in this initial mission, she opts to stay at Ao's residence, becoming a long-term member of the household.

Jinrai has a very distinct and memorable personality. She is characterized as stubborn and serious, with a tendency to rush headfirst into situations. Her most defining trait is a deep and enthusiastic love for traditional Japanese culture. She is fascinated by historical subjects, particularly samurai and ninja, and shows a great fondness for things like swords, sumo wrestling, and period dramas on television. This interest heavily influences her behavior and code of conduct; she places great importance on义理人情, a Japanese concept encompassing duty, loyalty, and human empathy. Once she considers someone a comrade, she is fiercely loyal and would never betray them.

Her retro-obsessed personality is reflected in her appearance. Jinrai has long blue hair and blue eyes, but her most prominent feature is an eyepatch covering her right eye, which she wears as a direct homage to the famous feudal warlord Date Masamune. When not in her combat gear, she is typically seen in a simple, dark blue dress, though she will also wear her battle armor during training or everyday skirmishes.

In the story, Jinrai serves multiple roles. Initially, she is a rival to Gourai, constantly seeking to prove her strength and fulfill her original mission. Over time, she evolves into a reliable ally and friend. Her role is not limited to combat; she participates fully in the daily slice-of-life activities of the group, such as going on errands, playing games, and even helping to decorate her own room in Ao's cluttered apartment. Her competitive nature and knowledge of fighting make her a key participant in the many informal battles and tournaments that take place.

Jinrai's key relationships are primarily with the other Frame Arms Girls. Her most significant dynamic is with Gourai. What begins as a formal, mission-oriented rivalry develops into a strong partnership built on mutual respect. They frequently spar and team up against common enemies. She also forms bonds with the other residents, including the trickster Baselard and the energetic Stylet, becoming a dependable part of the group. Her respect for authority and tradition also shapes how she interacts with their human owner, Ao.

Throughout the series, Jinrai undergoes a clear development. While she never loses her competitive spirit, her motivation shifts from simply collecting data to genuinely wanting to protect her new friends and home. An early loss to Gourai teaches her humility, and she learns the value of cooperation, often fighting alongside her former rival to defeat more powerful threats like the virtual Frame Arms Girl known as Architect or the formidable Hresvelgr. Her loyalty is proven in the final battle, where she and the other girls willingly give up their own weapons and equipment to help Gourai transform and save the day.

As a Frame Arms Girl modeled after a ninja, Jinrai's notable abilities specialize in close-quarters combat and agility. Her primary weapon is the M.S.G MH03, a combination sword that she wields with skill. She has also demonstrated the use of ninja-like techniques, including a shadow clone jutsu, in her battles. Her fighting style is a direct extension of her personality: direct, aggressive, and rooted in her love for samurai-era tactics.
