Description
Kuza Ackerman, also referred to as Cuza Ackermann, is a character within the Beyblade Burst God anime. He is originally a member of the German team Top Wand before transferring to BC Sol, a prominent Spanish team that serves as a central hub for the protagonist and several key bladers. Standing out visually, Kuza has spiky black hair with a yellow highlight that echoes the design of his Beyblade’s Energy Layer, golden eyes, and three light blue triangular markings painted on his face, one above each brow and one centered on his forehead. His constant companion is a pet cockatoo named Carl, who remains by his side in almost every situation.

Kuza’s personality is defined by a marked contrast between his casual and competitive states. In daily life and off the stadium, he is playful, cheerful, and easygoing, often showing a lighthearted and approachable demeanor. When a battle begins, however, that gentle surface gives way to a fierce, intense focus. This split personality mirrors the nature of his Beyblade, Alter Cognite, which is equipped with distinct mode changes allowing it to alternate between Ultra Stamina and Ultra Attack configurations. His style in the ring is highly acrobatic; he uses springing jumps, quick dodges, and sharp reflexes to stay one step ahead of his opponents.

His primary motivation is to test his abilities against the strongest opponents on the world stage and to keep growing as a blader. Leaving Top Wand for BC Sol signals his desire to be part of a more dynamic, competitive environment where he can truly push his limits. Within the story, Kuza functions as a dependable teammate and a spirited rival. His presence helps round out the BC Sol roster and provides both camaraderie and challenge for the main characters, especially Valt Aoi.

Key relationships include his deep bond with Carl, whose constant presence highlights a nurturing and loyal side of Kuza’s nature, and the friendships he builds with his new BC Sol teammates. These connections slowly teach him to reconcile his two extremes, integrating his playful personality with his battle-hardened intensity. Development-wise, his arc is marked by learning to trust in his partners and embrace his whole self rather than viewing his gentle side as a weakness. By the end of his active role, he emerges as a more balanced blader who can fluidly shift between aggression and endurance.

Kuza’s notable abilities revolve around his acrobatic agility and the tactical use of Alter Cognite’s mode switching. He reads his opponent’s rhythm and adapts mid-battle, exploiting the stamina mode to outlast prolonged attacks or engaging the attack mode to deliver sudden, powerful bursts. This combination of physical dexterity and mental flexibility makes him a versatile competitor who can surprise even highly skilled rivals.
