Description
Kazuko Hosokawa is a high school student attending class 2-4, recognizable by her shoulder-length curly brown hair and grey eyes. Standing at a height of 162 centimeters, she has a calm and mature demeanor that often leads her peers to seek her out for romantic advice, a role she finds somewhat bothersome due to her own lack of practical experience in love.
Her personality shifts dramatically when she is around her upperclassman, Shinichi Katori. After witnessing him rescue a cat from a tree, she developed strong feelings for him and fully embraced his eccentric claim of being a "love god." This admiration often causes her to act in an overly dramatic and fervent manner when interacting with him, as she is completely taken in by his fabricated persona. Her primary motivation throughout the story is to navigate her burgeoning romance with Shinichi, whom she affectionately considers her "little kitten."
Within the school setting, Kazuko is depicted as being on good terms with several of her female classmates. She is often seen talking with Kana Iijima and Ayane Matsuura, frequently using the latter as a sounding board for her thoughts about Shinichi, much to Ayane’s dismay. Her central relationship is with Shinichi Katori. Their dynamic, which begins with her intense and somewhat worshipful crush on him, eventually develops into a genuine romantic connection that culminates in them sharing a kiss.
Kazuko's role in the story serves as a comedic yet heartfelt exploration of how a relationship can begin from a place of fantasy and role-play. Her development sees her transition from a girl who felt burdened by giving love advice despite having no personal experience to someone who actively pursues and achieves her own romantic goals. Her notable ability lies in her unwavering, almost theatrical, belief in her partner's stories, which, rather than being a flaw, becomes the foundation of their unique and successful romance.
