Description
Colonel Rabbit, also known as General Rabbit, is a character from the Duel Masters anime. He serves as the second-in-command of a group called Team Usagi, working alongside his teammates Pyonko-Hime and Kabamaro. His physical appearance is slender, and he wears a blue suit with two antennas on the shoulders, complete with a hood that features a pair of rabbit ears.

In terms of personality, Colonel Rabbit is often portrayed as cowardly and somewhat pathetic, displaying traits that invite a degree of pity. However, this is balanced with occasional moments of seriousness and intimidation, particularly when he is focused on achieving a goal. One of his notable skills outside of dueling is culinary talent. He works as a cook in Lulu's bar, where he is shown to skillfully prepare dishes and accurately interpret customer preferences from even the most confusing hints.

Colonel Rabbit's background contains a mysterious element. Despite having an appearance that suggests a man in his twenties or thirties, he and the rest of Team Usagi have been hunting for rare cards for over thirty years, implying he may have non-human origins or an unexplained longevity. His primary motivation revolves around this pursuit of rare cards. In the Duel Masters (2017) anime, he first encounters the protagonist Joe Kirifuda near Joe's school, taking an interest in his card collection. To obtain these cards, Team Usagi infiltrates Lulu's bar by posing as staff. When this plan fails, Colonel Rabbit is pressured by his teammates into dueling Joe.

Colonel Rabbit's role in the story is primarily that of an antagonist and rival to Joe Kirifuda, though his repeated schemes and challenges consistently end in defeat. His key relationships are with his fellow Team Usagi members, Pyonko-Hime and Kabamaro, who often apply pressure on him to take action. Following his defeat in the bar, the team continues to work there, and he later prepares food for Joe and another character named Kira. He efficiently handles large orders and correctly interprets vague requests from a character named Boltz. In a later arc, he and Team Usagi travel to the Fire Civilization, causing disturbances that lead Joe to duel them again.

Throughout these encounters, Colonel Rabbit does not undergo significant personal development, but his dueling strategies are showcased. He uses a deck that incorporates multiple civilizations, specifically Darkness, Nature, Water, and Light. This multi-civilization approach demonstrates tactical flexibility. In one notable strategy, he destroys his own creatures to summon powerful ones like Georges Bataille. He also uses cards such as Might Antility to grant abilities to his other creatures. However, despite these tactics, his strategies consistently lead to defeat against Joe Kirifuda in both the anime and manga adaptations, with the manga showing a slightly different duel where he uses a creature named Mukade, Asura instead of Georges Bataille.
