TV-Series
Description
Alice is a mysterious young girl discovered by the Excavation Company Esca Vate deep within an Orichalt ore deposit on the wandering planet Rajeev. She appears to be approximately three or four years old in human developmental terms, with a small build, pink hair, and distinctive cat-like ears and a tail that give her a charmingly unconventional appearance. Despite her youthful look, her body chemistry is unusual, containing more silicon than a normal human, hinting at her extraordinary nature.
Alice is unable to speak, communicating only through simple vocalizations such as aa sounds, laughter, and other non-verbal expressions. Her personality is bright,天真烂漫, and highly curious about the world around her. She approaches new experiences and people with an open and friendly demeanor, seemingly unafraid of danger and eager to play and explore. This innocent and cheerful exterior, however, belies a deeply tragic origin and a connection to the most critical secrets of the ID-0 universe.
She is revealed to be an Orillian, a rare being formed from Orichalt that houses a human consciousness. In life, Alice was the terminally ill daughter of Jennifer Record, a colleague of the brilliant but ethically bankrupt scientist Kane Arisugawa. Kane, who would later lose his memories to become the protagonist Ido, devised a plan to save Alice from her illness by transferring her consciousness. However, he intentionally altered the process, fusing her mind with Orichalt to create an Orillian as part of his grander, more destructive research goals. This traumatic event caused Alice to disappear, only to be found years later by the Esca Vate crew.
Alice possesses a remarkable and instinctive ability to manipulate Orichalt ore. She can unconsciously generate a self-repairing, airtight crystalline film from the mineral that envelops her body, allowing her to survive unprotected in the vacuum of space. This protective layer can also be extended to partially cover other people, providing them with a degree of defense. Her very existence is intrinsically linked to the Orichalt and the wandering planets known as Rajeev.
Throughout the story, Alice forms a significant bond with Ido. His initial reactions to her are overwhelming, triggering intense feelings of fear, guilt, and fragmented flashes of his lost memories. It is through contact with her that Ido begins to recover his past, ultimately remembering her name and his role in her creation. Alice becomes a central motivating force for Ido, who vows to protect her, as well as a key that unlocks the truth about his identity and the nature of the universe's greatest threat. Her fragmented consciousness eventually reunites with her mother, Jennifer, within the core of Rajeev, bringing a measure of resolution to her personal tragedy.
