TV-Series
Description
Momo is a supporting character in the Clear Card arc, a magical creature resembling a white rabbit plush toy with a light blue scarf around her neck and ears. Her eyes are permanently closed, and she wears a gold clockwork-shaped crown on her left ear, with a mole under her right eye. She is usually carried on the bag of Akiho Shinomoto, who believes Momo to be merely a stuffed toy. In her true form, Momo appears as a young lady with short curly hair, a half-black and half-white flared dress with a gear-shaped ornament and clock hands on the skirt, transparent wings extending from her waist, and a tiara with long ribbons.
Momo is the guardian of the Book of Time, a magical book that ultimately houses the majority of the Clear Cards. Like Kero and Spinel Sun from the original series, she is a magical being that takes the form of a stuffed animal to interact with the human world. Her name means "peach" in Japanese.
Her personality is quiet, observant, and deeply caring, especially toward Yuna D. Kaito, the butler and guardian of Akiho. She is protective of Kaito and tries to keep him safe, and she only comes to life and speaks when Kaito is present. Momo's primary motivation is to fulfill her role as guardian and to support Kaito's efforts to protect Akiho, even when his methods become morally complex.
In the story, Momo plays a crucial role in the resolution of the Clear Card arc. After Kaito uses forbidden magic to alter reality and make Sakura and Akiho believe they are sisters, Momo assists Sakura by providing guidance and revealing the truth about the memory manipulation. She helps Sakura find and free Kaito from a magical prison, and later, when Kaito and Akiho leave Japan, Momo remains behind and stays with Sakura, assuring her that she is still present.
Momo's notable abilities include her guardianship over the Book of Time, which gives her a connection to time-related magic. She can speak and interact with others when she chooses, and her true form possesses wings and a dress that evoke clockwork and time motifs, underscoring her role as a time guardian. She is a key ally in uncovering the secrets of the Clear Cards and the true history of Akiho and Kaito.
