TV-Series
Description
Nene Sakura is the childhood friend of Aoba Suzukaze, having known her since preschool days. She initially attends a local college after graduating high school, uncertain of her purpose in life. Her trajectory changes when she participates in beta testing for Fairies Story 3, the video game series that both she and Aoba love. This experience sparks a deep interest in programming, and she eventually applies for and secures an internship at Eagle Jump, the game development company where Aoba works.
Nene is an energetic and enthusiastic young woman with a deep passion for video games. She is also an otaku and a devoted fan of the Fairies Story series. Her personality is often described by Aoba as childish, selfish, and a klutz, and she has a tendency to leave her post or struggle to stay focused on tasks. Despite this, she is a dedicated and hardworking programmer who takes her work seriously once she commits to it. She is creative and loves generating new ideas for games, and she brings a contagious sense of excitement to the team. However, she can be timid in formal settings such as meetings, which sometimes makes it difficult for her to voice her ideas clearly.
Her primary motivation is finding her purpose in life, which she ultimately discovers through programming and game development. She constantly strives to improve her skills and contribute meaningfully to the projects she works on. In the story, Nene begins as a college student and a supporting figure in Aoba's life, frequently talking with her on the phone about work and their shared hobby. Over the course of the series, she transitions from a background confidant to an active member of the development team as an intern, with her responsibilities focusing on programming.
The most significant relationship in Nene's life is her friendship with Aoba. They speak every day, often about Aoba's day at work and their mutual enjoyment of Fairies Story. Nene provides Aoba with advice and support, sometimes without even realizing the value of what she is saying. At Eagle Jump, she also develops a mentor-like relationship with the senior programmer Umiko Ahagon, who guides her growth as a developer.
Nene undergoes notable personal development over the course of the series. She evolves from a directionless student into a motivated and capable intern who has found her calling. As she gains experience in the workplace, she becomes more focused and begins to build confidence in her abilities, though she remains playful and somewhat scattered in her everyday behavior. Her notable abilities include growing proficiency in programming, a strong creative streak that fuels new game ideas, and a knack for beta testing and identifying issues. Her energetic and friendly nature also makes her a positive presence among her colleagues.
