Description
Miyako Shirakawa is a former college classmate of Itsuki Hashima and one of his closest friends. She is a twenty-one-year-old woman with medium-length brown hair and pink eyes. Unlike the other members of Itsuki’s circle, Miyako is not an aspiring author, though she enjoys reading Itsuki’s novels and supports both his work and that of Nayuta Kani. Her initial impression of Itsuki was negative, but she later became his fashion adviser and a trusted companion.

Miyako is kind-hearted, caring, and levelheaded, often acting as the voice of reason among a group of eccentric and driven individuals. She is compassionate to a fault, having cried for Nayuta upon learning her backstory and for Haruto when his anime project failed. She also remained loyal to Itsuki even after he insulted her early in their friendship. Despite her steady demeanor, she struggles with a sense of aimlessness, feeling haunted by the fact that everyone around her has a clear passion or career path while she has not yet found her own purpose. This internal conflict is central to her character development, as she navigates her own identity and goals.

Miyako is also the object of Haruto Fuwa’s romantic affection, and her relationships with Itsuki and Nayuta are marked by mutual support and occasional emotional wavering. Her tendency to balance friendship, burgeoning romantic feelings, and personal ambition has been described as the “triple crown of youth.” Throughout the story, she grows from a somewhat directionless observer into someone who actively confronts her own desires and place within the group.
